BB is the right guy for arky and imo is a damn good coach. Will be a mistake to let him go even if they don't win more than 8. Hes improved every year.

I've been disappointed in him and I was one of the only people outside of Arkansas that thought he'd do really well at Arkansas. He seems to be finally getting the hang of the SEC though.

We warned ol piss about butt. WI fans warned is he suffers from Nutt/Miles like brain freezes. We were warned. His record at WI was passed by 4-5 bad teams. Record against top teams in division was abismal. AR has to have a wide open pass happy gimmick offense to surprise teams

Yes the excuses have been used a lot. Is it true that 6 of this years starters were not Brets recruits ? Seems funny that Arkansas fans say he came into a team with no talent yet in his 4th year 6 of the 22 starters were recruited by previous coaches.

I think Bert is a great coach. Arkansas is going to upset some teams this year, just like they have been doing for 2 years (LSU) but I just hope it's not us

No one said the team had NO talent. We always have some talent. Is 6 senior starters a good amount to you? Is that not the very definition of attraction, which is what this thread is about?

Well, you are wrong so I can see why that is funny but ...
Even after saying what I said about Petrino on the last page, I can clearly see he sucked at adding depth and recruiting was mediocre at best.

You seem to be implying that you lost a lot off of the 2011 team and Petrino didn't have the talent stocked to reload. If so, why did all the 2012 preseason polls have Arkie in the top 10 even without Petrino?

That's the point. Apparently, everyone, including Arkie fans, thought there was still a lot of talent left there by Petrino. So much, in fact, that even with Smith coaching them, they were still thought to be a top 10 team. By everybody. Including Arkie fans. Especially Arkie fans.

Apparently so, according to Porcine. He says Petrino sucked at recruiting and Arkie would have had a dropoff even if Petrino had stayed. Smith's bad season was apparently caused, at least in large part, by a lack of talent due to Petrino not recruiting. I don't agree with that, which is why I responded when he said it.
