Why the frick wouldn't we? I don't care how much he is he's worth it, especially considering he's the ONLY coach worth a frick on the football team now.

LSU has no intentions of parting ways with Aranda, regardless of how this current regime performs.

DA can stay in BR as long as he wishes to. And whether he is candidate 1 or 1-A for next LSU HC, how many future possible HCs have a better alternative as DC in-tow if that were the scenario for option B?

Yes, you could easily have gotten an OC for 1.25M-1.75M. But not after you Arandasized yourself.

Nah, as crazy as it sounds this is who O wanted. He wanted Ensminger last year too but E said no.

So your administration is going to tell prospective head coaches who their defensive coordinator will be before hiring them? That definitely gives off a vibe of functional leadership

And will be the only one worth a frick for the foreseeable future.

Thanks for agreeing with us. You seem rational.

No relevant OC is coming for less than $2M when you're paying the DC $2.5M. It's a slap in the face to take less.

more like no relevant OC is coming when they know special ed is a dead man walking. thats how they ended up with kevin steele

No it's not. No where is it written a school has to pay its OC and DC/Associate HC the same money or near the same money.

The real issue here isn't money, it's that O wanted a yes man, someone he could keep in line.

There was never a search. He wanted Ensminger all along. It was about ego, not money.

Literally what LSU posters always say whenever their program gets called out.

More indication that you are talking out of your arse. Take a cursory trip to the Rant in the past week or so. LSU fans have been destroying the administration and Orgeron.

You just don't know what you're talking about as highlighted by your reliance on total speculation that the Aranda raise is what fricked this team's OC hunt.

There's plenty room to criticize, you just happened to choose the absolute dumbest argument.

From Mike Detillier's twitter:

quote:

Steve Ensminger told me & others he had no interest in being the offensive coordinator. This is Coach O persuading him to take the spot. U feel different but Steve is a good coach. Now, calling plays on gameday is an art form. Only a few excel at it. Develop Myles & Lowell at QB

This may be the first time I've ever felt sorry for a guy taking a promotion.

Agree. By all accounts, Ensminger is a good guy who loves LSU. This wasnt what he wanted and now he's gonna be public enemy number one when the wheels come off next year.

LSU shoved your very own Jimbo on Les in 2005 and 2006, JF was frustrated with Les' Schembechler Stone Age O, and furious at the reigned in play calling of Refgate.

With so many options available to make fun of LSU regarding this hire, you chose to take an angle that is complete bs. Congrats! Ensminger was always going to be the hire because he will be O’s yes man.

Oh I think most of us are fully aware. But this had absolutely nothing to do with Aranda. We could pay an OC 2 milliion as well and would still be under what we were spending on Miles and his staff.
