I've noticed about 20% of Ags are this way. They are flatly childish. They will never say a kind word about your university.
Also, this topic is idiotic and making all Texans look like total clowns before the rest of the SEC.

Not sure how we can take the high road about unequal revenue sharing when we were a full participant in it with Texas,
Here’s how. We couldn’t leave until the legislature was packed with Aggies and we were out of session. They couldn’t stop us this time. We had to have the money to compete with them and we couldn’t leave and they knew it. Accepting it was the only option until it wasn’t. Once we had a different way we left their arse.

What’s idiotic is your coach begging for a CFP publicly. You are The University Of God Damn Texas. And your coach is begging to be included? It’s God Damned embarrassing is what it is.
Take your lumps. Have some self respect and go beat the ever loving shite out of everyone next season.
Don’t get on a stage and beg! God damn you sound like us.

so you had enough political power to prevent Texas from going to the SEC without you in 1995 but not enough not to vote against unequal revenue sharing in the Big 12?
you just shite out whatever stupid thought you have regardless of whether it aligns with reality or not

You see. We have these things called elections. And what universities people go to changes from year to year. I know it’s hard to remember these important details. But you can do it if you try.

you’re just making shite up. just own that your school voted for the very things you cried about when you ran away. every single time, in lock step, with Texas.

We’ve always wanted to be in the SEC. And we voted for revenue sharing because we had no alternative until we could leave.

I'm not begging, and I have no control over what that particular state employee does.
Y'all do have control over how much you publicly whine about the TU t-sippin WHORNS.

Dude. I’m not whining. I just legitimately think you’re better off in a different conference because you’re not going to be happy getting left out of the playoffs after beating top ten teams. This result is not an anomaly. It happens all the time in this league.
Because you’re not wrong. Texas is a great team and if they were in any other league they would be in the playoffs.

We voted for it. What you don’t know is we actually pushed Texas to join the SEC when Arkansas joined. So we’ve always wanted us all in the SEC. Always. When the LHN debacle happened we wanted them to stay out primarily because we didn’t feel like they would ever give up their own media rights deal. But they did. So most Aggies fell back to their previous position. We actually like being in a conference with Texas. We didn’t want to be there when they literally had their own ESPN channel. Which is understandable I hope. But historically we have always wanted us both to be in the SEC since before the Big12 was formed.
Assuming this is all true, and I’m not convinced that it is, then what is the purpose of the OP? You just wrote an essay on why UT shouldn’t be in the conference, and now you are saying it’s what you always wanted. You realize you come across as a total head-case, right?

Culturally they’re not a good fit for the SEC, unlike OU.

no alternative? you were so cucked that you did whatever daddy Texas told you to do?
Hell Mizzou voted against revenue sharing and went to the SEC at the same time. they're the only Big 12 fanbase with a legitimate gripe.

It’s a bit of a derailment from my original point. My point is simply that Texas will eventually believe being in a different conference is better for their goals. If this Texas team would have played in any other conference this season, they would be in the playoffs. Eventually Texas will see this choice as a liability they won’t want to stay with. It’s evident in how they deal with approaching cancellation of future games against tough opponents. They don’t really want good games against the best competition. They are only in the SEC for the money. And they will eventually figure out a way to make money without having to play the SEC grind like ND has.

No alternative if we wanted to have any hope of being close to the same level of competition as you. Of course we could have just said no and not got the money and had you beat us even worse.

you voted for unequal distribution to level the playing field with us? well then why the hell not vote for equal distribution?

That’s a good question. It’s because Texas threatened to take us to the Pac12 if it didn’t pass. Again, we were in locked to wherever you went until we weren’t. So you used it against us to get votes you wanted.
Look we should have had the balls to say no but we would have not been in the SEC we would have ended up in the Pac12 and we couldn’t stomach that.
But that was the reason.
