Exactly one football coach has voluntarily left A&M, and that was a guy who was hired by his alma mater.
Elko is going nowhere unless the administration forces him out.

I find myself in an awkward position responding to UGA Alum’s post, being a TAMU alumnus but having also spent 6 years in graduate school at Georgia. Athens has always been my favorite college town, plus I married a UGA graduate who is an avid Bulldog fan. So, classic double allegiance - we have side-by-side UGA and TAMU banners in our front yard each football season. I suppose the tipping point for me is the post’s tone. Yes, this is the SEC Rant forum but it still grates a bit (I realize that’s the idea - grrr). Admittedly, the arrogance is well earned with Georgia’s tremendous recent success, two NCAA national titles, etc. But, the post also ignores and perhaps reflects concerns about the reality of this new NIL era and A&M’s obvious resources as well as the fact that we seemingly have (finally) found a quality coach in Mike Elko. In any case, I’m enjoying the banter and look forward to seeing how the season plays out. On that note, nothing would make me happier than a UGA-TAMU SEC championship game! We shall see ….

Aggie has no chance against ND.
There’s no way Aggies will beat Arkansas with Petrino.
There’s no way Aggies will beat LSU in Death Valley.
Missouri will surely beat them. They have a legit defense.
