it started by conceding the final game at south carolina with a lead in the 9th and not throwing Sims to finish off the sweep. you can't just turn back on competitiveness. we haven't been the same since.

I spend way too much time screaming at Lemonis. He just pisses me off some times.

No matter what happens today, everyone make sure to call Serranaux out for the pussy that he is. He was talking shite yesterday morning, then disappeared when UT lost last night and has been hiding in a corner with his sphincter puckered since. I'm sure if UT holds on to win he'll be back here talking shite.

so you think we will be fine if we lose this game...as in, we are a national seed lock?

There's still a lot of baseball to be played over the next few innings, so I wouldn't count State out just yet, but I personally believe that State is locked in at #7 or #8 with a win and is in slight danger with a loss pending what Florida/Texas Tech end up doing in the conference tournaments and Stanford's performance against OSU this weekend.

last night, kyle peterson and chris burke both seemed convinced that we needed to win at least 1 to have a shot....i guess we will find out.

You’re just giving him what he wants. He’ll never be here after a loss.

It's hard to lose a national seed in the SECT unless someone just outside the national seed territory wins their conference tournament. Right now, those teams are East Carolina, TCU, and Stanford. ECU has already lost in their conference tournament and are playing through the losers bracket. TCU won their first game of the Big 12 tournament. The Pac 12 isn't having a tournament this season, and Stanford is playing a 3 game series with Oregon St this weekend. Regardless, State not getting a national seed with 20 SEC wins and series wins over likely tournament teams Tulane, Ole Miss, South Carolina, LSU*, and Alabama* and also wins over national seeds Texas and Texas Tech is much more important than going 2Q in the SECT. The SEC should get 4 national seeds. I guess State would probably be the first team out for a national seed if the committee doesn't want to give one conference 4, but their resume, to me, is fine with or without a win here

What do you want them to say? Don't bother watching because these games have very little impact on anything?

did they say State needed a win to lock down a national seed or did they say they needed a win to have a chance at one?

from what i recall, they said state needed to win to secure a national seed or something to that effect. we aren't a lock and it is very much in doubt. my takeaway, that if we lose 2, we are depending on others to lose as well.

it really doesnt matter...the way we have been hitting the ball we are in serious trouble.
