Not yet. No reports of pigs flying.
Good luck today all.

Evidently it is snowing moreso in the downtown area as opposed to where the stadium sits..of course, my 19 yr old daughter is def prone to exaggerating, so it could be only flurries. To a southerner, flurries still looke like a blizzard, especially when it is only Nov. 1st. and she's only seen snow a handful of times in her life.

(Posted on 11/1/14 at 7:20 am to scrooster) Stuff like this basically proves global warming is a hoax. So much for earth getting warmer when it is snowing in November... right Al Gore and liberals.. lmao. Biggest scam on earth..
This is weather...not climate. I don't know if climate change is real and savvy enough to admit it. Writing snow in November disproves or proves anything is ignorant.

We've lost power. Generator has kicked-in. They are now saying over 10k have lost power here in Lexington County already as trees are snapping and taking-out power lines.
Our trees seem to be holding-up okay for now, although one just dumped a load of snow on the house, I thought the tree had broken and hit the house but it dumped its load and is standing upright again. We can hear branches and trees popping all through the woods. The wind has really picked-up too. It's still coming down out there, you can hardly see across the pasture.
Honestly never thought I would see anything like this in early November down here in my lifetime. I just measured the snow on the hood of the truck and it's over 4" and still coming down strong.

You have to admit snow in the lowcountry and midlands of SC on Nov.1st is just plain weird, no matter the cause. This just seems unnatural...snow this early. I hope like hell this isn't Mother Nature's preview of what this winter is going to be like. I'm buying a generator..I do not want to be stuck without electricity for a week like I was during last year's ice storm. That was utter misery.

It was, Cheese. Snow was falling from as far south as Barnwell county, SC into the mountains of the Carolina's, including Clempson.

Whats the temp going to be today in SC? It is probably going to all melt but that will be a mess too.

Highs in the 40's with wind gusts to 40mph is what I just heard.
It is now thunder-snowing here. Freaky.
ETA: There were reports of brief flurries in Clemson/ Greenville and that area earlier this morning.

It was weird. Couple of loud blasts of thunder while snow was falling. It seems to be switching to all rain here now even though the temp has dropped 2 degrees in the past 20 minutes. They just said the hardest snow is concentrated over Columbia and Lexington. Mother Nature not happy the Vols are in town.
ETA: Cheese, it's a gorgeous place to live, especially if you're fond of horses. The downside is this seems to be little Ohio now with the influx of yankees..mostly from Ohio for some reason.
