No he didn't. FSU fans said James was easily the better QB two springs ago...hence why he started fall camp as the starter. Ir was the other stuff is why he took time to name him the starter.

You send a you mad at LCT and since he didn't respond, you answer his post because you actually were rustled.

How can you say this after seeing his highlights from last year.

DCR: Some believe that a program with the stature of Alabama should not need to start anyone else's prior backup quarterback. How do you respond to that?

Fisher: Including what they've had, he's much more talented than anything they've had. I don't mean to discredit the previous guys, they were all great. But this guy is extremely talented. Arm and mind. He's a backup because he's behind the best quarterback in America. (Coker) may have been one of the top three or four quarterbacks in America physically.

We could have been right there in the same position last year with him, I really believe that. You just had to make a choice. If he had played, got his reps and got in that role, we would have done extremely well. I'm a Jacob Coker fan.

I'm taking Coach Fisher's opinion over the "experts" on this forum.

Of course you will. You certainly aren't going to admit your QB situation is a clusterfrack.

Why would he admit to something that isn't true

Did you see the passes in his highlight reel. He neither has a strong or accurate arm based on his on the field performance. If he was neck and neck with Winston at the beginning of the Fall, then Winston made great strides in a short period. Take Fishers comments with a grain of salt. First he is friends with Saban. Second, what would you expect a coach to say about a former player when asked ?

Than y'all have absolutely nothing to worry about this year. Congrats on winning the west.

If the only obstacle is Coker's Arm, you might be right.

Bama is the only team that will threaten AU this year. LSU lost too much on O. Coker blows. So good luck against USC in ATL.

Coker will be fine. They will manage him much like AJs or Greg's first year. Alabama is great at making mediocre quarterbacks look great. Yes, right now I'm calling Coker mediocre, but I'm hoping he is really good. I do think we can be successful with Cooper Bateman, we just have such a strong supporting cast around the Qb.

He only needs to be adequate. The only concern with Bama is can Lame Kiffen be an effective SEC coordinator..

I for one am excited about Kiffin. I liked him when he was at UT, well not liked but I thought he was a good coach. He has always had an effective offense. From USC as an assistant to his year at UT, to his years at USC as a head coach. They would score 40 a game and still lose, that won't happen at Alabama. And he has the best players in the nation. He could suck, but he could be great. Our past OCs have been no name guys that have went on to be very very successful.
