This kind of already happens all the time. Usually it's a school buying insurance, but this is pretty much the same thing. Hedging your bet on the bonuses you may need to pay.

Sounds like a smart idea, TBH and I'm sure this isn't the only case, but one has to ask, how is this much different than when Sorsby did it?
