November 1st, 1980
State 6, Bama 3
I was there when we beat the Bear.
Bama had a 28 game winning streak
26 game SEC winning streak
22 game streak over State.
Game was in Jackson and still remains the most exciting finish I have ever witnessed in person. The stadium went absolutely crazy at the end of the game. Fans were hugging total strangers, it was bedlam in the stands.
