The West is stronger than the East, but the East isn't some terrible division

Some of you act like the East is on CUSA level.

I can't believe I heard a poster seriously say "If Ole Miss and MSU were in the East, they'd be contenders"

The East is still the 2nd best division in college football, and the West hasn't always been the premier division.

You don't have two top 5 teams in one division at the end of the year by being terrible.

Aren't the 2 divisions 11-11 against each other in the SECCG?

Ole Miss

I wouldn't be completely shocked if they won the West this year.

Another Ole Miss fan riding the coattails of Bama, Auburn, and LSU. What has Ole Miss done to keep the West in power?

Yes, the East use to be good but now they suck (compared to the West, which is what these discussions are talking about).

The East is a strong division - the conference title has resided in the West for a while though. Tables could turn this year though.

The title literally says "The West is stronger than the East"

It's cyclical, like everything in sports. The East is down by East standards. UF, UT will be back. USCe will be in contention as long as OBC is there. Georgia will continue to underachieve. Mizzou will be in the mix more years than not.

How does the East suck? Just because it's not as good as the West?

Does that mean Alabama sucked last year since Auburn was 1st in the West?

This I will never understand. All that Georgia talent and they perpetually underachieve.

Exactly, this is an SEC-centric discussion. SEC East is relatively good with respect to college football as a whole, but that's not what we are talking about.

Sure, anytime you get beat by Auburn you suck.

We wouldn't win the whole thing but we'd be top 2-3 IMO.

It is solid, but Ole Miss and Miss St would possibly contend... Yall let Missouri win the division... That shows me that OM could.

How is this an SEC only discussion? I have said nothing to imply that.
