Seriously? You think that our record vs. 70s, 80s, and 90s opponents at home matters now? Really?

Re-read his original post and his others in this abomination. Yes, in his feeble mind an Alabama win in 1975 or 1981 = a win in Tiger Stadium in 2012.

I guess when Bear Bryant and Nick Saban say it's the toughest place in the country to play they just don't know what they are talking about?

'Nuff said. BDS was awesome last year in November for the Tigers. He scared!

LSU fans will just pick a time period that fits them instead of counting all time. They're the best at doing that.

You cna call it what you like but everyone, including you guys whether you like to admit it or not, know there are two distinct eras in the SEC. There is the Bear Bryant era and the BD or Bear Dead era.

If you take any of these cherry picked stats you use to reinforce your need to feel superior and look at the BD (Bear Dead) era, you will see that the pack has caught up and in some cases passed Bama.

Since the advent of TV and more media coverage,LSU has been much better in TS at nite than in the day.

LSU played more nite games than any team in the country. Kind of like Bama leading the nation in NCAA violations in football.

Do you know anything about statistics? You have to find how their home record compares to their overall record on a year by year basis to determine home field advantage.

Whats Alabama's record in night games in the old dump?

I applaud the OPs efferts I this thread. LSU swamp peoria are more defensive about that eye sore of a stadium than Bama fans are about Bear.

10 of the last 13

9-6

November

5-1 record in "T-Town AKA Tiger Town" since 2000

What's Bama's record in Night Games at Tiger Stadium? Since Bama will be playing LSU in Death Valley at night this year it plays a factor(see below)

Since 1960, LSU is .773 at TS at night, compared to .476 during the day over that same span

LSU has only lost 2 home games at night in the last 10 years

When we beat the gumps down in Death Valley this year, that will make 11 of the last 14

I'm sure this has been mentioned, but I don't get it.

What's so difficult about playing Bama at JHS West??

Am I just missing something that makes it so difficult to win?

Tiger Stadium first opened its gates to fans in the fall of 1924 as LSU hosted Tulane in the season finale. Since the first game in Tiger Stadium, LSU has gone on to post a 354-138-18 (.716) mark in Death Valley.[7] Moreover, Tiger Stadium is also known for night games, an idea that was first introduced in 1931 against Spring Hill (a 35-0 LSU victory). In 2006, LSU celebrated its 75th year of playing night football in Tiger Stadium. LSU has played the majority of its games at night and the Tigers have fared much better under the lights than during the day. Since 1960, LSU is 201–59–3 (.773) at night in Tiger Stadium compared to a 20–22–3 (.476) record during the day over that span.[7] LSU lost its first Saturday night game since 2002 against Florida on Saturday October 10, 2009.

Not reading this entire thread, but didn't Bear Bryant state Tiger Stadium is the worst place for visiting teams to play?

I find it funny a Bama fan started this thread.

It's called "coach speak" and Coach Bryant was famous for it. Listening to him talk you would think Bama had no chance to beat any team, ever.

Coach Bryant played 8 games at LSU, he won seven.
7-1, worst place to play?

I find it funny an LSU fan would mention that quote considering Coach Bryant's dominance of the Tigers in their home stadium.
