So if you don't count football before 1994 I guess we're allowed to not count your Fiesta Bowl win either? Or Howard Schnellenberger? Or does that only work when talking about Big Brother who still owns you in both major sports?
I need some clarification on how you kids pick and choose these time frames so we can accurately describe just how much of a one hit wonder you all are?

Haha yep another tired joke, UK trying to say that Louisville is a dump city. Sure the West End of Louisville isn't great, we're a legitimate big city, big cities sometimes have bad areas. Of course Louisville also has the highest income level in the state, has the best schools in the state (not public of course but private) and the best suburbs. Lexington is a nice city, outside of UK I have nothing against Lexington, but don't act like Lexington doesn't have any crime.
For those of you who are not familiar with state of Kentucky politics, every county gets the same amount of money no matter how much they contribute. The city of Louisville gets back 50 cents for ever $1 we pay in taxes. So yeah not hard to see who pays the bills for the state of Kentucky

If you really want to answer that question, UofL football truly started in 1946 with the Frank Camp era. Before Frank Camp we were a glorified intramural squad and there is nothing you can do to debate that point. It would be like our football team playing a UK fraternity and counting it as a victory. Do you realize how pathetic that sounds? So yes UofL football started in 1946.
