As a lifelong Kentucky fan I’ve obviously been thru the ups and (mostly) downs. Hell my first Kentucky game my dad took me to was the Bluegrass miracle. This was the year I’ve had circles ever since 2018 when we made some noise and ended up 10-3 with a great win over Penn State in the Citrus Bowl. Why? Because I trusted in Stoops process, recruiting and development. We are senior packed on defense with some emerging young stars (hate the Oxendine injury) to compliment that. The Transfer portal was very good to us also adding a lot of talent on Offense. On to the main topic tho, UGA is absolutely the best defense in the country to date. They are absolutely stacked and you can tell that by just watching a few minutes of their games or looking at the statistics. Either way it is evident. The hype is overwhelming and you cant argue that, just look at the scoreboard after their wins. The reason I think Kentucky has a chance is it because we have the leading receiver and Rusher in the SEC or that our Oline is so dominate. It’s because this team for the first time that I can ever remember believes that they are good enough to go to Atlanta, they have zero fear of this UGA team. And that is something I have never been able to see in a Kentucky team to this degree. With all that said, whatever the outcome on Saturday I will still be so proud of stoops and this team. This is what SEC football is all about. Good luck to y’all on Saturday from the BBN

Ton of respect for the job Stoops has done at Kentucky. Win or lose you should be proud. I don’t see Kentucky winning Saturday but I can see them winning out after that.

Here's the problem for Kentucky.

The previous four seasons the highest point total has been 17. The highest yardage total has been barely over 300.

Can you do better vs. this defense?

The UK defense, statistically speaking, will be the best we've faced to this point. But statistically speaking, vs. conference competition, it hasn't been significantly better than Auburn. At least not to the degree UGA's is statistically better than Kentucky.

Could it happen? Yes. I mean the American college kids beat the Soviets in 1980 at the Olympics. But it's gonna take something weird and unpredictable to occur.

Well said.

I absolutely believe this team will go into this game without fear. They know they are not expected to win, and I think that will relax them and let them focus.

Who knows, a couple of mistakes by Georgia early, keep their fans sitting and somehow put together long ball control drives, and I think anything can happen.

The focus has been on Georgia's D, but our D is pretty good, and they will have to work to move the ball too.

I sort of expect a fairly low scoring game overall. We'll see.

I get where y’all (and some media narrative) are coming from with this but it’s a crock of shite. There’s pressure on both sides. Both teams feel it. It’s a game to win the East (again) and remain undefeated with manageable schedules ahead.

Stop selling yourselves short. Just because you’re the underdog and lack the historical prestige of your opponent doesn’t mean one side or the other is immune. You got yourselves this far, embrace the pressure.

Who manages the nerves and the pressure has an edge to win. If y’all want to believe UK will be able to manage those nerves because of their experience, that’s reasonable. But nobody on either side is going into this game stress free.

Well, I do agree. Georgia has a lot to lose in this game, more than UK ultimately because they are in the drivers seat for the national title.

Kentucky is stout no doubt and if this game was in Lexington I’d be pretty damn worried, but it’s in Athens plus it’s a top 11 matchup, with GameDay and SEC Nation there, the fans will be extremely loud all game. Also Kentucky is a run first offense which does not bode well for the Cats. Kentucky is going to need Georgia to make some mistakes, hit some deep balls, and a bit of luck to win this one. While y’all have been a nice story the truth is this a road game for y’all, and Georgia has more take and depth. I see a close game for 2 and a half quarters before we pull away late.

Georgia 34
Kentucky 13

Kentucky is a good team. Well coached. Last week vs Lsu was easily their most complete game of the season. Kentucky is capable of playing very good football. They are also capable of not playing good football. Struggled mightily vs Chattanooga. Close wins vs Mizzou and S Carolina. If that team shows up in Athens it will be similar to our game vs Arkansas.
