this ridiculous love some Auburn fans have for Brian Harsin.
Not seeing much of this

I'm willing to be patient with him but losing confidence daily. And I think I'm on the front end of that.

Saban went 7-6 and lost to ULM in 2007 as a 1st year coach.
Not to mention the recruiting trajectory, AU was in much better state from a program perspective than Alabama was after the 2006 season. Yes AU had more talent/experience especially on the defensive side of the ball.
Also lol at the buzz from Saban equals the buzz of Harsin. Everyone knew it was a matter of time before Bama was on top again. Not so much the same feeling at AU now.

I think thats where you are wrong. Now Auburn can take 2 more RB from the HS ranks and another transfer.
We literally replaced one all freshman back with another all freshman back. I mean our cupboard isnt bare at all.
No player that has left Auburn was any better after he left, minus Malik Willis in an offense taylored for QBs in a mediocre conference.
If they dont wanna be at Auburn, fawk em.

I totally disagree. Boise fans warned us and everything is happening as predicted. You should go to their board and talk to them. It’s like talking to Nostradamus.

They have a board?

Let me stop you right there.
Just because Patrick Nix was an AU QB does not make him a “favorite son”. He was honestly as mediocre as his son. Flashes of good with a lot of mediocre to bad mixed in.
Patrick was the QB when I was at AU and we boo’d him constantly and chanted for Craig to come in.

I also warned us.

To be fair...fans boo'd Stan White and chanted for Pat. Maybe its more about the fans than the players.

We had the same major and had 5-6 classes together too.

Good grief.
Patrick Nix, the quarterback behind the legendary touchdown pass to Frank Sanders to beat undefeated Florida - one of Auburn's greatest wins - is as much a "favorite son" of Auburn as anyone not named Bo Jackson. He was an ok quarterback at a school not really known for them.
Bo Nix holds the record for offensive yards by a QB, so if he's "mediocre", it really speaks poorly of Auburn's legacy with QBs. Again, if not for Bo Nix, we're looking at a record we haven't seen since we ran off a coach that had recently won a national championship. You think Harsin survives that?
I get we need to give the guy time, but some of you really need to get a grip.

Pat Nix was an AU favorite son if we've ever seen one. Bo's first year at Auburn was hyped to the hilt. Pat got to relive his time at AU in those media highlights of Bo with pics of Cam in '10.

You think Bo Nix is a “5 star”? Where else in the SEC would he have started ? He was trash and saw the writing on the wall, more talented players are going to be in that room and he and daddy’s ego couldn’t handle it

Yes he was a 5*. They don't always turn out but that's not been unusual for any QBs who have signed with Gus.

I think he could've started at a few SEC schools the last 3 years. He was still a mid-SEC QB. Maybe he'd have flourished somewhere else with better coaching.
I guess we will find out next year...
