Unfortunately, he is a douchenozzle and an attention whore to boot. He'll either mature or he won't.
He is the first heisman in almost 50 years at a proud program that doesn't have a track record of high levels of success. That is a money recipe right there.
Cam Newton could retire from football today and just make public appearances at Auburn events and such and could easily make a top 1% living. He is set for life. Bo Jackson did it and look how he turned out.
Manziel may have oil family money but he is really screwing this opportunity especially if A&M fanbase starts to hate him (which I think happens if he underperforms this year)

Agree on both counts. Due to a unique set of circumstances, the 2013 football season is HUGE in determining the long-term success and perception of both Manziel and A&M football. JFF is going to have to prove that the glitz of his high-profile/high-exposure lifestyle won't become a detrimental distraction to his on-field performance. A&M football must seize the momentum it gained from overachieving (by many metrics) in 2012 and not slide back to its longtime status of being a middling program that never fully takes advantage of its resources.
Lot of pressure. We'll see how well both entities handle it starting this month.
