A&M was unironically good because of Mike Sherman. If I’m not wrong that was one of the top 2 defenses we’ve ever had in the SEC and we had three first round draft picks playing on offense with a nasty O-Line. Mike Sherman recruited pretty much all of them.

And shoutout Ryan Swope, Austin born Westlake HS. He had monster performances.

I think that dude misspoke. He shouldn't have included A&M. Mizzou has had success in the SEC. A&M still hasn't. 9 years later...

Now Mizzou fans can you answer the question instead?

I watched more Aggie games in 2012 and 2013 than I probably did from 2014 - 2020 combined. Manziel was fun to watch. Sherman wasn’t a great head coach, but he was an elite evaluator of talent..

2012 Aggie was the best Aggie Big 12 team they had in their entire Big 12 history, and yes, that was a Big 12 team they were playing with.. The SEC is the best conference no doubt.. but I really don’t think the gap is as wide as y’all think that it is. Missouri and Aggie proved that to be true.. and I think Texas & OU will do the same.

Alabama is that good. They are fricking ridiculous. LSU in 2019 was that good.

Serious question. Why do you (or anyone else) believe that A&M and Missouri were successful when they first came into the league? The same thing was said back then as well.

Missouri's 5 years pre-SEC included 2 10 win seasons and a 12 win season.

And if someone asked you why you'd say "Chase Daniel and Blaine Gabbert"

You meant to say Gary Pinkel. Neither of those guys had anything to do with Missouri's 12 and 11 win SEC East championships in 2013 and 2014.

Gary Pinkel's staff recruited Texas really well and turned 3 stars into really good players.

People joke about the arrogance of Texas fans but Jesus Christ the attitude y’all have. We’re going to have to break you like a wild mustang.

Actually username BigBro asked. Unless you're the same person. Totally possible.

Cool thing about the transfer portal is the smack to the back of the head those who use it too much will get in 2 to 3 years. Much like over-using JuCo players, a batch of "ready to play now guys" at the expense of player development for 2 ~ 3 years down the road.

Graduating classes become at risk of being too large to replace with young players who are ready to go after being developed.
