Other teams seem to know their place regardless of conference. Take Arkansas and South Carolina for example. Both are expansion teams for the SEC. Neither have won anything that would indicate that they are moving towards Tier 1 nor do the fans act like it. They know their place. They are happy to have 9 win seasons and compete. Even the occasional 10 win season doesn't have us claiming every new year is "the year" we reach the mountaintop. We don't aggie, we just compete and work at it.

I'm drinking this in slowly. It's beautiful.

They especially hate our basketball natty and final fours and elite eights, our 3 SEC west championships in football, and our close heartbreaks in Omaha

they've done none of this

they hate us, and I'm glad

I was referring to the school in austin not the school in B/CS

Because you have had to play 2nd fiddle in a dictatorship for a century, you have a bit of the battered wife syndrome going on.

It is further complicated by media in the sense they cater to teams long out of fashion like Michigan so half of the Top 25 are still living on their past. Christ. I think UCLA's glory days were the 60's and 70's but they still get media love like they are a top CFB school today.

This isn't a bad thing. When they do pull from their own creativity for how to behave, we get the midnight yell practice, milkmen cheer leaders, jizz jar traditions and sword wielding cadets that get pancaked by people in street clothes at the 50 yard line. If that's our options, I would prefer they continue with the copycat method. Let them practice in front of the mirror after watching another team win a championship. The alternative is ugly. I just find it interesting that this is the thing that makes them unique.

I was looking up Arkansas’ rich history of football “Title”… and realized our histories are not dissimilar.

Are you here to discuss football? You do this a lot and it confuses me. It feels like you are low key trying to attract an overweight low maintenance partner.

Were you replying to me?

I am not a current or former student at TAMU.

I am however old enough to remember the old SWC and do feel many were the redheaded stepchildren to the bloated ego of the nutless bovines in austin. If you do not see the train coming when austin is part of the SEC it will not be pretty when that train hits week after week.

Yet you are fluent in their dimwitted retardese. You may not be an Aggie, but you are most definitely aggy.

Yes, I'm fully aware we will be everyone's super bowl. There will be tough games against great teams, and the rest of you will dickride those teams. Same as it ever was.
