Who was the other ACC team to vote against the 50 million. That would be the team looking to leave. Lsu would have to play Ole Miss every year and while we are dreaming why not Oklahoma or Ok state and one from NC or Virginia?

One division has to be Bama, Auburnt, Jawja and Tennessee. That would stop all the permanent cross opponent sillyness.

FSU...really doubt they come to the SEC tbh. They had a chance a long time ago adn didn't pull the trigger. I am betting they were approached regarding it last year as well.

Another amazing job of scheduling if this were to ever happen. Why don't we just allow teams to play directional nobodies each game and vie for the title?

Permanent opponents in parentheses. 3-2-3 divisional play. Play the three opponents in your division, 2 permanents, and 3 others rotating.

I cant imagine this being the case. If the SEC goes to 16 teams/4 divisions, I imagine teams would play:

3 division games
4 games against one division each year (EX. all teams in SEC West would play all teams in SEC Central, this would rotate)
1 permanent opponent (the SEC will do what it has to maintain rivalries)

By rotating divisions, you would play every SEC team at least once every 3 years.

The name is also flexible here, I've abandoned the SEC North (since these teams aren't north) in favor of the SEC Central, but as you can see, four of the original teams from the SEC West are actually included in this division.

All season long the Iron Bowl would still loom as the ultimate challenge, although now it would likely determine who wins the division and advances to the Final Four of the SEC.

That's fricking bullshite if we don't get LSU as a permanent opponent. I will be ten acres of pissed if that happens, as should LSU fans.

Do you really think most of the Tiger fans care if we keep the Ole Miss rivalry intact? I don't...The Auburn games in the past 25 years have been the most exciting....

You obviously don't remember many of the games then.

Yeah, this is closer to what I think it should be. Bama and TN should be in the same division, as should Auburn.
