3 teams =/= a good conference

Attendance has remained steady. Our stadium only seats 3,500 so we've never been close to MSU's passion for baseball.
A new, bigger stadium is in the beginning stages and we've got a competent coach in Gary Henderson. Cohen was doing great at UK and we certainly hated to see him go.
UK enrollment is bigger and the Lexington metro has grown significantly so the market for Wildcat baseball has expanded. With consistently good teams, and the white-hot rivalry with Louisville, attendance should continue to increase.

I always pull for KY vs Louisville in any sport. Glad to hear about new stadium. Let's just all take over everything and spit on the rest.

I was talking about this on another thread. It's a damn embarrassment. We should be good at basketball for the same reasons we are good at football: athletic department money, larger athlete pool, etc. Its fricking pathetic. If a power 5 conference had only one football team ranked in the top 25 can you imagine how much shite we would be giving them? This is the SECOND biggest college sport, and we are a joke (other than Kentucky).

Yep but I do believe that will change soon.

There is much more parity in basketball than football. In football if there is more than 3 teams from non p5 conferences it is a huge deal, in basketball it is almost expected that there are at least a half dozen.

It's not a very good conference.
Kentucky has Final Four potential, IMO. I don't think they'll get there, though.
IMHO the SEC is going to surprise some people in March. These teams are hardened, used to adversity on the road, and provided the refs in the dance are not calling ticky-tacky stuff, the SEC might finish above .500 in the post season.

I disagree now but in two or three years I can see it.

I think the addition of ATM helps in baseball , basketball and football. They are more rounded in complete sports than Mizzou. But I do think even Mizzou because they are now in the Sec will up their game in several sports.
Uh, other than being the worst we have EVER been in basketball and baseball, thats not remotely true.
Oh, and the SEC is having a god awful year. Call it what it is. Even Kentucky is way down by their standards.
