Are you seriously lumping Bama into "two good teams at the top" after the Tide's first three game?
You did watch Bama's first three games, right?
Ummmmm...if you don't think Bama is one of the top 2 teams, who do you think may be the top 2 Einstein?

Should I be impressed with your wins over Lafayette and Vanderbilt? Of course Washington looks good now, but no more appealing than Virginia Tech.

Disagree and the data to date does not support your perspective. We have 3 teams in the top 5 and 4 teams in the top 10. Georgia is looking better and in the top 25 and so is Auburn and will probably break the top 25 next week after a big win over WVU. Tennessee looked a lot better than anyone expected vs Florida and Kentucky has been playing well also. South Carolina lost another squeaker to UGA but they are still playing tough defense and their offense is much improved with Garcia getting on track.

Clearly you're in the minority according to public opinion and this link. Public Opinion
You come off as a hater or know nothing about football. Apparently you didn't watch the 1st 3 games.

Defensive much? I never said Bama isn't a solid, formidable team in 2009. Also, I never said they weren't deserving of their ranking. I merely stated that the original poster's premise and claim was not only misleading, but grossly inaccurate at this point in the season based on what we have seen thus far through three weeks of play.
It's a little silly to make the argument that Bama is "head and shoulders" above the rest of the SEC (as the original poster did), because you all know as well as I that the first three games of Bama's season has most certainly not indicated that. I watched all three games, as I'm sure you did, so while you may be able to "get shite over" on the AP voters, coaches, and general public that did not watch your first three games, you most certainly won't get that argument over on an educated, objective viewer.
Will Bama be one of the Top 2 teams in the SEC as the season progresses? It's definitely possible, and I think there's a good chance that will end up being true. But to take Bama's performance through VaTech, Florida International, and North Texas, one would be silly to make that argument and start a thread such as this.
Through 3 weeks, we know basically nothing about Alabama, Ole Miss, and LSU. The "preseason" is nearly over, and the real games are about to start. We will know a lot more about the SEC and specifically the contenders in the West as the next month plays out.

What the hell are you talking about? Because Alabama if FINALLY better than they have been does not mean that they are at the top as you delusional fans believe. Please get off of your short term high horse for goodness sake. There are FOUR SEC teams in the top 7 at the moment. The SEC does not look down.

I understand there is a lot of football left to be played. Ok...then from what you've seen what are the top 2 teams in the SEC?

1. Florida
2. Bama
3. LSU
4. Auburn
5. Ole Miss
6. Georgia
7. Arkansas
8. Kentucky
9. Tennessee
10. South Carolina
11. Mississippi State
12. Vanderbilt
My point was not that Bama isn't the second best team in the SEC right now. Heck, I put Bama at #2 in my own SEC rankings. My point is that there's not some "huge dropoff" from Bama to LSU and Ole Miss and Auburn that the original poster hinted at.
Will there be eventually? Possibly. But after three games, there most certainly isn't a dropoff. Actually, the argument could be made that LSU or Ole Miss or Auburn sits at that #2 spot. I put Bama at #2 for now, but there's a lot of football left to be played, and the football that we will see in the next two months will be much more important and telling than the football we've seen through three weeks.

I was impressed last year & so far, yes I am, but I was impressed with your wins last year until your last two games. Then you made the SEC look bad in the Sugar. I suffered thru years of LSU seldom winning their bowl games let alone not being able to ever beat BAMA. I'm enjoying this coaches ability to win our bowl games. So if ya'll are going to represent the SEC in a BCS atleast win like OLE MISS did last year.
