Wow! We made it to 500 comments on this post. I guess that really shows that if you talk shite on the SEC, people from all different teams run to its defense. I guess it really “Just means more”.

We weren’t even in the game in the second one of those. We were in the first game and would’ve had a shot to win until Auburn took out Josey with a hit out of bounds at the end of the 3rd quarter. He did not return. It was 45-42 going into the 4th quarter.

I've never seen a group of mediocrities (the lower half and non-blue bloods) band together over something so quickly.
Even the blue bloods of the SEC take the "we can call our little brothers retards, but you can't" approach in kinship.
Sociologically it's really telling. Maybe it's the privilege of being a Texan and the only state who gained independence through a revolution and was our own nation, but I just can't fathom ever wrapping our identity into a shared one with a bunch of inferior schools, people, states and economies.
The University of (By God) Texas at Austin is, as Jesus more or less said, going to be of the SEC world, but never IN the SEC world.
