By metrics, the SEC had 10 teams in the top 25 this year. And several teams just outside the top 25. The B1G had almost as many as us (and higher ranked), which is why its not a surprise they are good. You can admit other teams are good, while still acknowledging this is the best conference in football.
Only reason SEC gets all those ranked teams is because of the media....thats why the soft arse SEC has been exposed in the playoffs 3 years running.

Was Vandy ranked in the top 15 in the nation when they played Iowa? yes or no?....and this is why the SEC is so grossly overrated.
Again, with the deflection. You said the b10 was stacked but yet call the #6 team in the conference very bad. So, either the b10 is not very good and according to your logic they play a very weak schedule, or they are very good. So now instead of staying on topic you once again deflect and now talk about rankings.
Everyone knows the rankings are for entertainment only and have no value. Why ND was ranked was a joke and the end it was easy to justify keeping them out of the playoffs.

I have very high confidence none of the teams you play are going to be good. They all have shite coaching. shite NIL. You really think Boston College, Navy, Purdue etc are going to be world beaters next year?
If you were an honest fan, you would admit your schedule sucks. Its a bad schedule. You cannot play 12 football games and have only 3 at best be meaningful. Thats pathetic. Win your fricking games against good teams instead of belly moaning about how you lost your matches and should still be in. You played nobody.

I know you had trouble with the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers and you were a projected #4 team in the country, so how do you know how its gonna play out?

And metrics have nothing to do with rankings. I.e. I give IU a lot more props for beating PSU at happy valley than damn near anyone here, that was a win against a good team. Metrics remove the media bias. Metrics say the SEC is the best conference in America, top to bottom. Its like how beating Auburn this year was a good win despite Auburn not having a great W/L, that team would do well in damn near any other conference.

How is that deflection?...Iowa is a bad team in the Big 10 but would be a top 3 team in the soft arse SEC.

Our team was shite this year. And somehow we would still be your second best win if we played you.

Ok. I'm gonna ask you a straight up question...do you think the SEC is the best conference in college football top to bottom?

Tie overall. We are way better on the bottom (we dont have any Purdue's, Michigan States etc), but they are better at the top. Indiana, OSU, Oregon would all probably be undefeated in our conference this year.

Hey, youre preaching to the choir....Ive already said many times ND didnt belong in the playoffs....but neither did Alabama or A&M. The SEC schedule is not what it use to be and the media needs to adjust it accordingly.

Hard to believe with all your belly moaning. The playoffs are too big, it should be 8 teams. 20 years ago Indiana would already be hanging a title instead of the rest of this. I think its a joke we have a system where Ole Miss played 2 teams they already played, and Indiana is playing a team they already played. Its making the regular season mean less.
The title game should have been Indiana vs UGA, with none of this other hoopla. Miami losing to Louisville and SMU is a crime that they are this close.

Yeah, Ive never been on here crying about ND belonging in the playoffs. I think its bullshite that they add Tulane and JMU when its suppose to be the 12 best teams though.....and if ND wasnt one of those teams....thats fine.....then it should have been Texas and BYU. And I agree wholeheartedly that they need to reduce teams...not add them. Its diluted as frick and you'll never stop the bitching from the teams that get left out. If you go to 16 teams....17, 18 and 19 are gonna bitch.

I give you credit for the troll attempts. Thank you for clarifying that the b10 is not that great and they play a soft schedule. The #6 team with their 9 wins only beat the #7 team in the SEC by a touchdown. Got it.
Posted on 1/3/26 at 6:25 pm to IrishDave
Fair enough on that. Just dont doubt the SEC schedule, your team wouldnt enjoy it

And you know what Texas beat Vandy by?....3 points. So who is tougher?...Texas or Iowa?

I'd love to give it a shot....hell, you can check my past posts where I've said I hope we join a conference and let it be the Big 10. I'd love to have that continuity and rivalry building schedule. It will never happen because ND makes way to much money as an Independent. Over a billion dollars from NBC alone before even the donors kick in.

They both finished 6th in their conference.
Again you said the b10 was the better conference top to bottom but then claim they are not when a team in it wins 9 games which means they also played a weak schedule you call as very bad.

Oh, it’s definitely the Big10 v SEC. Clearly there are some great teams in th Big12. To not acknowledge that is intellectually dishonest. (I do think the bottom half of the SEC is stronger than the bottom half of the Big10… and that’s kinda my point).

The irony of this statement coming from an ND team is absolutely mind-numbing.
