I'm trying to have a civil discussion and you're resorting to name calling.

Why is this argument still going on? 12, 13, 14, 9, 10? Alabama still has more than anyone else.

No, you're throwing out the Auburn family talking points. It's been posted ad nauseum on here where Bama was crowned National Champs by papers of the day back when they went undefeated and won the Rose Bowl back in the 20's and 30's.

I have NO problem dropping 41 and replacing it with 45 or 66.

some Bama grad putting it in a book =/= crowning National Champions.

Exactly. A rose bowl win is just that, a rose bowl win. A rose bowl win in 1924 somehow becomes a title in 1984

Replacing it? You finished 3 in the sec in 41. All undefeated season aren't titles.

Regardless of what you think about the Rose Bowl teams of the 20s and 30s, or the fallacy that's 1941, I think it's pretty clear Alabama was hosed in 1966.

Why cant y'all just leave it at 9? It's still more than any other. Why embellish?

Yes. Replacing it. Bama was crowned by pollsters in 1945. 1966 was a screwing and there is no denying it.

Because it's not an embellishment? Why do so many of you gobble down the Bleacher Report article put out by an Auburn fan?

Teams get hosed all the time. Most people think LSU got hosed haveing to play Bama again after beating them at Bama. It's college football. Until a playoff teams will get screwed

Except yall didn't win when it counted. Bama did, other teams didn't that year. The screwing was a political one because of the civil rights movement at the time and the disdain for the south in general. They spent the 2 previous years trying to prevent Bama from getting awarded the NC. The third year, they finally said, frick it, we'll just award to teams with worse records.

How often does a two-time defending national champion, and undefeated at that, get overlooked?
