Not NCAA recognized. Football is king though. But to even assume LSU is irrelevant in sports lately is full tard. More championships across the board than any school in the conference.

I never argued what LSU has accomplished. Only what is recognized nationally. Not that the nation even cares (considering the obscure sports). Alabama most definitely is not recognized for anything more than their football titles. I however believe Alabama has been more recognized on a national level than most teams given their current success. LSU, Florida, Georgia have all had "national success" recently but you don't really hear about it. ESPN doesn't talk about gymnastic success unless it's gymnastics season. They don't talk about baseball when baseball is out of season either. Unfortunately football is the beacon of a program - in the media - like it or not. NCAA be damned.

So pretty much what you're saying is there's no school in the nation that has been "recognized on a national level" except Alabama?

That doesn't even make sense.

Not that it really matters, but that house party wasn't put on by TM7. It was a dumbass fan and he was a dumbass and retweeted it. After the negative attention, he removed the retweet.

And it doesn't matter whatsoever. I mean it was dumb the whole thing. Hopefully the nation didn't see it.

Never said "any school". I was originally saying that LSU hasn't done much more than Mizzou the pasty 6 years. LSU has definitely been recognized. Kudos to them. But ultimately LSU hasn't really won many titles or done something to make themselves known to the nation.

Yes, but why? The ACC puts out a lot of NFL talent also. Is it the coaching? Something genetic tied to the region? Cultural emphasis?

I believe it starts here.

But it ends with the fact, that week in and week out, the SEC is the equivalent of minor league football.

Old Man Football.

Not in the sense of 1950's football, but in the sense that this league plays like men.

Old man Football...

You see, this is what I guess is lost on my Missouri Yankish mind. Why come out of your way to comment on such an "irrelevant" team? It is comical that posters comment 100 times on anything Mizzou related, but try to talk about how much we dont matter.

Don't worry man. Maybe one day LSU will beat Missouri in football.

That's right, LSU hasn't ever beaten Missouri

We also own bowl wins over the fake tigers.

We are without a doubt the best team in the SEC to be undefeated by one of our peers.

LSU was irrelevant on their own accord. Give credit where it's due, Buck Whiney.

LSU will be better in bball even come next year

You do know basketball was a "down" year for Mizzou and a GOOD year for most SEC teams. Mizzou only had 2, TWO, returning players from the whole team. The rest were transfers. Mizzou was kicking arse at home with TRANSFERS. Obviously the media thought Mizzou was good enough to make the NCAA with a bunch of transfers.

Mizzou won't be good in football until they get a good passing QB, they don't have the dept at RB like LSU does and plus they don't just let anyone into Mizzou because of 4-5* behind their names.

On a side note Mizzou would have the same if not worse record in football, basketball and baseball if they were playing in the Big 12 this season. So lets not brag about the bad first year because of being in the SEC. If anything SEC basketball looked bad because Mizzou is rebuilding and still competed, doubt if they do that in the Big 12. Winning by 10-20pts at home with transfers.... Wow.
