The last two nights have shown the elite level of this league.
Agree. We have owned this draft.

The 4 and 5 stars will always be there for the great teams throughout the country, however, if you're a 3*, and have PAC, B1G, and SEC teams competing for you, it should be obvious after the draft what league you need to play in.
Absolutely. Unless you're looking for immediate playing time.

The rising tide analogy has never been more true. This IS the minor league of the NFL.
Without question. This league may not translate as much with the passing game, but NFL scouts jizz their pants over our defensive players and RB's. And we are slowly getting better with QB's.

The obvious domination of the SEC in the draft can only bode well for every team in the SEC, even us Yankees.

Well, personally, I don't drink the shite, but my first word was "Coke". That's all we ever called it in my house.
But then you mofo's come with your Coke, Soda, and Pop Map. Doesn't make any damn sense.
Pop. Lol, that just makes me laugh thinking of lemons saying that.

I guess then, why doesn't the national media talk more about LSU? Sure a splash here and there. But what have they really done? I know that Alabama hasn't done well in many other sports than football. The nation knows that. But what has LSU done recently that the nation knows about? Sans the 2007 football championship. And to add credence the 2009 baseball title. You really think people care that you won the SEC in 2011? The SEC title doesn't matter to people unless you're an SEC fan. I'm only exposing what LSU means to the "big scheme of things" as I said. LSU hasn't done shite lately.

We don't really care what the national media thinks of us, we just like watching our football team play.

LSU won the SEC in 2011, we LSU fans are proud of that, we don't care what the nation thinks of us

Maybe historically you guys have a better track record in certain sports....but Alabama can make that same claim as well in certain sports. How is it that LSU is just "that much better" than Alabama? I don't follow. Since I'm a fricking retard.

You LSU fans have all the right reasons. LSU is the king. No one else matters cept' what LSU thinks. Everyone else can eat a dick.

Football- Alabama is historically and currently better than LSU, nobody will argue that point
you can stop reading here because you don't care about the other sports
Basketball-We split this year, but LSU is trending up with a new coach, and bama is trending down with a bad coach, and their best player just transferred away, historically LSU has a natty and has reached a final four as recently as 2006, bama has literally NEVER been to a final four
Baseball-Currently LSU is obviously better than bama to the point where your team dogpiled after winning 1 game of a 3 game series, historically LSU is much much much better than bama with all of our national championships

As an Alabma fan, I am happy to see my team on television for the spring game. And as far as TM7 he's not a bust per se, but he definitely (and LSU fans) has made a bigger deal out of himself than he truly is.

This is like being in 9th grade all over again. Freaks vs. Preps.

then don't say he is a bust, say you think he is over rated, and on some levels I might agree with you, he is a great playmaker, but hasn't played in a year and has some character issues, but he is certainly talented enough to warrant a 3rd round draft pick, that point really isn't debatable

Well I retract my statement. He was an awesome player at LSU. He truly was. He did have off the field issues - which I believe probably 75% of current college football players have (most of which are not exposed in the media). "Off the field" is pretty vague. I don't give two shits he smoked spice or weed or whatever. My only thing is there was a "party for TM7" the other night. I know it was called off. But damn from the outside it seems awful arrogant. Dude is a player but to act like he's a beacon of LSU talent or even if it was just meant for himself...I don't respect it. Congrats if you're a good player but the way he handled things is just silly to me. First off he's a showboat in my mind, secondly he's a football player.

I'm pretty sure if LSU fans had to choose a "beacon of LSU talent" we would choose one of the many players who were drafted in the first or second rounds the last 2 years

Lol @ you wanting to talk overall athletics
How the hell does UA not have a men NCAA recognized championship in their entire history? Rofl

wow, I just looked that up to confirm, and it is true, thread coming shortly

And I agree, but it seems like the big focus (by which I mean media) has been on TM7 as of late. Sure ESPN has announced the draft picks, just like they would any team, but the spotlight recently for LSU has been TM7. And it's not a terrible thing, it's more unfortunate that he has been kind of a clown in the media spotlight. I completely agree with you, the beacon of LSU talent has been much more broad than TM7. You guys have hella talent. Year in and out. But my statement remains, LSU unfortunately with all of your talent, hasn't been a national brand in a while. Now....not to say "a national brand" means a whole damn lot. I was only alluding to the fact that LSU; to the country, the USA; isn't a recognized name at the moment. It's not a bad thing...you guys have a lot going. Maybe so much that you will be the recognized name in the future. Only time will tell that.
