Current NFL players from each Conference and school.

CONFERENCE

SEC 348
Big Ten 264
ACC 208
Pac-12 195
Big 12 133
American 94
C-USA 75

SEC TOP TEAMS

Alabama 56
LSU 41
Florida 39
Georgia 32

Oklahoma 29
TAMU 27
Auburn 25
Texas 25

To put things into perspective the next Big 12 team is West Virginia with 15 Current players.

Tennessee, South Carolina and Mississippi State have more Current NFL players than the 3rd team in the BIG 12. Keeping that in mind Tennessee, South Carolina, Mississippi st are going through very rough stretches.

To wrap this up for our OU and Texas posters....

Alabama, LSU and Florida together have produced more talent than the entire Big 12 alone.

SEC Depth is built over multiple recruiting cycles not talking about 5 stars skill players but multiple 4/5 stars on DL and OL going 3 deep.

So yes you'll likely face more talent in y'all first two seasons in the SEC than maybe a decade in the Big 12?

We will rebuild you and make you stronger.

As for OU’s numbers, that has a lot to do with our poor defense over the last 7 or 8 years.

As the Big 12 became more and more known for offensive football, the defensive recruiting suffered. It became a self fulfilling prophecy. For a while the Big 12 was doing things that you now see throughout college football. The conference became a victim of their offensive success.

Our defensive recruiting has improved recently but for a while it wasn’t great at all. Other than the offensive reputation of the conference harming defensive recruiting, I believe kids simply didn’t want to play for Mike Stoops.

All 3 will beat the brakes off OU annually if put in the same division… when’s the last time OU beat either of them???

I can’t wait for the games to be played. That’s all I’ll say. Win or lose I’ll be here.

That is quite an impressive list. Still, I always have respected Oklahoma. Notice, they don't talk the crap on here Texass does.

1. LSU has more National Championships than Oklahoma (by a lot)recently.
2. It's not as easy to make the playoffs in the SEC than it is the BIG 12.

Stop comparing the BIG 12 to the SEC. If Oklahoma had been in the SEC the pas 10 years you would not have played in a single playoff.

Oklahoma will do fine in the SEC. You will probably make the playoffs from time to time. Shoot, if they expand to 12 you will make it most years. But make no mistake about it....if Oklahoma had been in the SEC the last 7 years, you probably would not have made the playoffs at all.

You do realize that Florida was missing 16 players in that bowl game, right? That including their top 3 receivers and Kyle Pitts?

Again. Oklahoma will do fine in the SEC. Texas? Not so much.

Did Georgia beat Texas in the bowl game a couple of years ago?

Both OU and UT are in a great position coming to the SEC. Everybody in the SEC will have to step up their game.

It will interesting to see which teams do step up and those that step down.

Expect the unexpected.

Texas currently has 38 players and 4 former coaches in the NFL. Not sure where they are getting their 25 number.

Furthermore, the NFL is just as much of a popularity contest as college. Scouts come there and look at a guy and end up liking the guy next to the other guy too. Meanwhile, they are missing good players at other schools. That's how 6 round Tom Brady happens.

For example, in the 05 Championship everyone was enamored with Reggie Bush. Meanwhile across from him was some dude the nation hadn't heard of named Jamaal Charles. Reggie Bush would get picked second. Jamaal Charles, after running for 290 on Nebraska would get drafted 3rd round. When he blew up in the NFL Texas fans were not surprised at all. We knew he was that good.

That's the NFL for you. Going all in on Reggie Bush but allowing one of the best backs to play the game slip to the 4th round, and the greatest QB of all time to go in the 6th.

Despite those schools being in some of the most fertile recruiting grounds in the country, they have severely underachieved. They can’t even beat Bama. OU has more wins over Bama since 2000 than Georgia and LSU combined.

Do you guys understand how hard it is to recruit at Oklahoma when compared to an LSU or Georgia or Texas or Ohio St?

I’d put the Big 12 of old up against any conference. Big 12 South with OU, Texas, AM used to be like the AFC north

The only Georgia team that has overachieved is led by a Sooner. Georgia is synonymous with choking, losing to Bama, and underachieving.
Georgia feels like the Texas of the SEC.

I ain’t taking no crap from Georgia fans. Bama and LSU can talk their talk, but not you bro.

?????

LSU has 10 wins agaisnt Bama since 2000. You haven’t even played them 10 times in that time frame. When has OU beaten LSU when it mattered? Don’t worry I’ll wait.

No. Does that mean we won't ever beat them? I mean, we beat Missouri that last few times we played them. Does that Mean Missouri will never beat us?

Right now I have:
Alabama
Georgia
LSU
Florida
Texas A&M
Oklahoma
as teams that should beat Texas regularly. (Over the next 5-10 years)(Regularly meaning 70%+ of the time)

That puts them at around #7 in the SEC. I think other teams will beat them from time to time and could even split with them at 50/50.

Crap dude. When is the last time Oklahoma has played for a National Championship. This in spite of making the playoffs almost every single year.

You would think you would just get lucky a couple of times, but Oklahoma typically gets blown out when they make the playoffs.

The playoffs have been here for 7 years now. Oklahoma has made the playoffs 4 times.
Oklahoma got beat by double digits 3 times, by 11, 20 and 35 points. Don't even try to talk about Georgia choking.

Congrats for making the playoffs 3 out of 4 years that you didn't deserve to?

Yes we can, because we still beat Oklahoma with the best team they have had since the playoffs have begun. So, yes. Georgia can talk crap, too.
