I see Alabama, Auburn, Texas, and Texas A&M. and now LSU are opossing it. Whats are its pros and cons and why would these schools oppose it?

Personally i hate the transfer portal and would love to see it gone or very limited

Like i said I havent been keeping up with all this

They want all conferences to pool media rights together is the SEC's + Big 10 beef with it.

all about tv deals and you can bet ESPN and Fox/CBS/NBC are not going to give up their cash cows without a fight and they have to use the Big Ten and SEC and Notre Dame to get what they want

NBC would lose Notre Dame
ESPN/ABC would lose control of SEC and likely the playoffs

I’m all for it even though it technically hurts Ole Miss giving us less money but it’s better for the sport overall.

That being said, if I read the outline of the bill correctly it forbids the SEC and Big 10 from leaving the NCAA. The most obvious way to get around that is the elite schools will just leave those two conferences and start their own out from underneath the NCAA umbrella.

The bill allows conferences to pool media rights, but it does not mandate that conferences do so; HOWEVER, some things in the bill are tied to being part of a media rights pool.
