UGA ran the ball on us and it didn't matter. We have a clock eating passing attack. We can control the clock with our dynamic passing game. We put together two fourteen play drives with the passing game. If we did that against UGA, we can definitely do it against Vandy. I don't think you'll see a game like last year. The lack of offense and Milroe's limitation played a big part in our defense being on the field too much. I don't see that happening this go 'round.

If Vandy can pound the rock and keep Bama off the field, it'll be a long day for the Tide.

Vandy's been a great story so far, but Cinderella's slipper breaks this week.

Bama fans obviously don't like this, even though "but we beat Georgia" is what Bama fans have been clinging to the most post-dynasty, and "but we beat Georgia" is Bama fans' current biggest point of pride.

Glad we can help, I guess.

Vandy scored 21 points directly from 2 turnovers and a penalty on a punt and won by 5.

Seems like you are only remembering the scoreboard which is fine because that's all that matters in the end, but let's not pretend Vandy wasn't extremely fortunate last season.

You win 2 natties in 40+ years- a bit of success with a generational recruiting class and you think you're BAMA.

Pathetic.

You just imagined this out of thin air. I have yet to encounter a Georgia fan on the internet or in real life who suggested this or thought this.

But yes, the trophies have been some pretty strong and effective novocaine and numbed the losses to Bama pretty good..

Facts are more likely that UGA lost theirs, and Bama simply got a quality wins over a quality opponent in UGA... again.

I'm sorry, who's the current reigning SEC champion? Is there another L on Georgia's schedule as their toughest remaining games are all at home? Maybe Georgia Tech at the very end but it's still a long season.

Look, I get that both Bama and Georgia relatively went all in on this past game for differing reasons and Bama prevailed because they were methodical in their passing approach early and didn't turn the ball over but this is not the era of the BCS title game or 4-team playoff anymore, Georgia's still going to be Georgia regardless of what happened Saturday and they always respond well to adversity like this. I'd hate to be Kentucky. Georgia's still a playoff team and strong natty contender despite the L.

And you also haven't encountered this either.

When's the last time y'all won a natty again? Beating Georgia the last 2 years seems to be the only source of big-time pride you've had since the covid 2020 title. Could it change this year? Maybe, it's a long season with a long playoff compared to the past and you have a QB who takes care of the ball and plays complimentary football, it's not unreasonable but many crazy things can happen.

Never said anything to the contrary. Very good football team with the best HC in the NCAA IMO.

Doesn't change the principle point that Bama is in UGA's head. Moreover in the heads of their fans.

Everything lined up for a UGA win to get the monkey off of their back, and the general result happened again.

UGA was no doubt more emotionally invested in the win than Bama from AD to HC to Team to fans. Bama needed a win. They have one more L as a buffer to have a hope at the playoffs. Bama got the win.

Not a slight to UGA. Lighten up, Francis.

This is your retarded view.

Beating barn on 4th and 31 was awesome.
Beating LSU like a govt mule is always pride-inducing.

Stop pretending you are BAMA's superbowl. You have to win more than 1/10 to be a rival.
Milroe was 2-0 vs uga. Beating uga is expected. Losing to uga would be like losing to MissSt at this point.

Well, your team/fanbase has been screaming since the 2 NC's that you are the new standard of the SEC, that the torch has been passed. So what do you expect when you get beat (again) by the team that you keep telling "we're better than you"? What do you really expect?

IDK last I checked Georgia's still the reigning SEC champ until they don't defend it anymore

And I guess losing to fsu, vandy, tennessee in knoxville, and oklahoma is expected as well?

I mean they are the SEC's most recent natty champ and the reigning SEC champ, y'all haven't won a natty since the covid season

Just like Bama, if UGA doesn't find a pass rush they're going to lose another game, possibly two more. You can't be 125th in pass rush and expect to win in a pass oriented era of college football. Also, Stockton has a lot of limitations in the passing game that a team with a pass rush is going to expose. Alabama couldn't do it because we're currently 123rd in pass rush. But he's not a very fluid passer and they will run across teams who will stop their run and force him to beat them. Can he consistently do that? I don't think he can.

No. Because those rarely happen. That's how it works. When something happens A LOT is when it becomes expected.

Like BAMA beating uga.

BAMA is 1-1 vs FSU in the last two.
17-2 vs tenner in the last 19
And 0-2 vs OU the last two trips to Normon.

Uga on the other hand has beaten BAMA once since 2008 in 10 tries. And there wasnt that much success before that either. 26 wins in 75 tries all time.

So yes, BAMA beating uga is expected.

Who's the most likely candidate of the remaining squads they face?

That's not the point. The point is when you declare yourself "better than" another program, yet you cannot beat them head to head, don't be surprised when you get crap thrown back in your face. UGA is not and never will be "our superbowl". So to even suggest that is ignorance of the Alabama program and fanbase.
