Sadly he is not.. I could give the name of 2 dealerships that support the basketball team to prove how dirty stans is, but I won't because it would hurt our school. Stans is dirty no doubt

Good gawd Bundy...it is obvious you do not know shite.
1st. Payne was "recruited" by Cal for one reason....Terrance Jones. Payne was Jones lead recruiter at Washington...not Oregon. A spot opened up, so Cal put Payne in the spot.
2cd. Payne gets the pay to get him to move to Lexington. Also, Robic and Antigue are getting paid in summer camp money. Trust me, that is a ton of money for those guys.
3rd. Payne is 3rd in line...see above of the guys who ahead of him on the bench. Robic is the main man under Cal.
4th. The Adidas factor does play a roll in the recruiting process just as the Nike.
Anyway, it looks like Payne was your guy...so good luck, he will do fine.

Supposedly he is responsible for the development of both Josh Harrelson and Terrance Jones.
So practicing with Cousins and Kanter had nothing to do with Jorts development?
Yes, Payne is good, but man, making him out to be something....better have expectations...it is going to be a building process.

The pickings are slim we have struck out on a lot of other candidates.
Payne is FROM Mississippi and makes logical sense. I love how you UK fans are acting like he is a horrible coach.

Dude, not making him out to nothing. You try to pump sunshine up our arses and we have to knock you down a notch...kind of like
telling us Stans is the best coach ever...and we were not buying it.
In fact, it was us who was saying what was really happening with Stans and you finally woke up!
Anyway, keep Grindin...have a safe trip to NOLA.

You don't remember all the threads about Stansbury being the most underrated coach in the SEC and how he just doesn't get the respect he deserves from other fanbases

Things starting to heat up with State.
Former MSU players Erick Dampier and David Rula met with Kenny Payne and World Wide Wes at the Ritz Carlton last night. LINK

underrated claim =/= "best coach ever"
FWIW, at the the time, it was a legit argument.

He is a great recruiter and being at Ky will not hurt. It's like being in the Pros coaching. Some of it has to wear off.....head coach or not..........if he gets some good asst, State will do ok.....

That was never a legit argument.

I'm really liking the direction we are heading.

no it wasn't. it was after losses to UGA LSU and AU

Keep Flaming Debton, when we have a staff with 2 former NBA players and a friend of the program who is highly thought of throughout the country in AAU circles.

If World Wide Wes is helping push Payne to us, I wonder if that means we will get second pickings after Kentucky. I thought he was just a Nike guy tho.
