Fidel, were you at Pillow when there was huge recruiting battle between y'all and Jackson Academy for a QB from Winona Christian with the initials J.G?
what year was it?

Simpson actually was in the North for a while.
Only because Bill Hurst was on the realignment committee and didn't want Centreville to have to go through them every year. My friends at Simpson were so pissed. It was hilarious when Simpson beat the hell out on them in the state championship the next year.

North AA football is where pussies play. The real teams are in the south.
Now yes. When I played no back in 06-08 no. We had the stoutest division in AA my junior year. It was like the SEC of AA private ball... Kirk, Indianola, Marshall, and Lee Clarksdale were all ridiculously big and talented. We beat up on each other week in and week out. The talent at those schools has dropped dramatically compared to what they had in 04-07.
In 07 we had an Oline averaging 270 lbs, a 6'1 225 lb running back, a 6'5 240lb QB and 3 out of 4 starting receivers were over 6' tall.

North Delta has had some good teams and Simpson actually was in the North for a while.
How retarded was that of Simpson being in the North???
As far as North teams, North Delta, Marshall, Lee(MS), Winston, Kirk, Leake... Those were some good teams

He ultimately picked JA because he said they had more babes. He graduated from there in 06.

Couldn't believe we blew a 21-7 halftime lead. Coaches never changed their gameplan offensively after ya'll shut us down. It wasn't hard to tell we were just going to hand the ball to Lester every down. We threw 2 passes that game
And our QB fumbling the ball inside the 15 on a late drive where we were about to tie it up

And between 06-08 no northern team won state. My point remains.

In 05, North Delta, Lee Ms, and Indianola were absolutely stacked with talent.
07 it was IA, marshall, leake, kirk, lee, and winston.
Real football was played then, now private school ball is like watching JV. No hitting, no size, nothing. Boring as shite.

He was a damn good RB. Now 2 years before, damn Stallings was a beast.

Doesn't make the South better overall.. Centreville was loaded those years. Ya'll had about 2 or 3 teams who were really good.
I think in those years the North was more solid across the board we had 4-6 teams that were good enough to beat anyone in AA on any given day.

I was pretty good friends with MPSA All Americans like Steed, Greenlee, and Peal.

Stallings and Dill were the sickest backfield ever. I don't know how anyone stopped them.
Lester actually played a year and a half at MSU as a fullback. I think he had the potential to get some PT had he stuck with it.

The best MPSA teams ever fielded were the IA teams of the 70's. the 1974 team that beat Prep 33-0 for state had 12 college ball signees on it... 7 of which played in the SEC.

Played with Stallings and Dill in the All-Star game. Dill was hurt.
This was our backfield: Stallings, Steed, Maples, Maher(FB from JA). At QB had Greenlee and Spinks from Lee.

Hey delta, you know I have to do this. LOL! But real ball was played 13 miles up the road at Leland high in 88-89. We beat rosedale 3-0 regular season, then beat them again when we met up in the playoffs. We lost the north half championship game to amory, coached by bobby hall I believe. I was one of two white boys that started on that team.

I've been on a few dates recently with a girl that's little sister is dating Demanp IRL. I've been begging her to set up a double date.

Cam Lawrence was a scary fricker to play against. Anthony Steene wasn't that great when he was at Lee. Just big and strong as shite but he wasn't hard to get by.
