And Ole Miss still has more talent. I've followed Nutt long enough to know that when the least is expected, you better watch your back.

but thats my point assclown- we return 33 of our 44 on the 2-deep- plus others, and then 20 redshirts...
thats called depth
Depth doesn't equal talent. You could have 38 water boys, but they are not all Bobby Boucher.

No one is sayin our defense will be good next year, just slighty improved. We didn't lose to 8 teams who were more talented either. When both coaches know their jobs are on the line, you have to assume that they will have our team more focused and determined this year. That has nothing to do with a talent increase. If we were focused and in shape we wouldn't have lost to Vandy and JSU. Add a little more talent and focus and we could also add a couple wins between state, Tenn, Arky, and LSU. Just that little amount of talent increase and huge improvement in focus we win 7-8 games with last years schedule. To assume we win 6 isn't that radical and that's about the most anyone is expecting

I dont think that is an exaggeration, if you can figure out the QB position I think 6-7 wins is easily attainable

I have some friends that go to Tulane Law, what year are you? Oh, and I have a buddy who went to Harvard Law too, so I planned to use that as leverage
My fiance is in law school. fricking hates it. She is now thinking about just graduating and now even practicing but using her degree to get her a better job
Good thing she goes to school for free

And come August- they will be predicted to finish 6th in the West for the 3rd time in the last 5 years.
Who cares what we're predicted to do?

I am a 3L, so close to being done, law school is not fun whatsoever (and that is an understatement)

I fully expect OM to have a better record than State at the end of the year. Nutt's back is against the wall and that is when he shines.

I don't even understand why MSU and Ole Miss fans are bitching about who has the better football program...they're both shite

That obviously explains their 4-8 record this past year.
CapstoneGrad why are you even commenting in this thread? You already mentioned that the only times you saw State and Ole Miss was when they played Bama. You must have missed the Ole Miss games vs Tennessee, Vandy and Jacksonville State

I give most of this credit to Masoli he was extremely mobile and was able to avoid numerous sacks all season long.
Well obviously but if you go back and watch our last few games our O-line was a pretty good unit. Any time you have all 5 O-lineman back you are in good shape.

She fricking hates it. Not that she thinks it's hard, but it bores her to death. I guess it's more for some people than others. She will figure out what she wants to do though. Good things she knows people if she doesn't want to practice law...

Our O-line during the Fresno, Kentucky, Bama stretch were roadgraters. We probably would have made a bowl even after losing to Jax State and Vandy if Junen and Clair hadn't gone out for the season.

still my favorite reasoning on here
2010- Nutts was predicted last in the SEC West
What happened?
Nutts finished last in the SEC West
Yeah, he really showed everybody didnt he? He stuck that last in the West right their faces huh?

I don't have a dog in this fight, as my team just won it all!
But is a State fan really talking noise about recruiting? Ya'll just waxed your biggest rival on the field, obliterated Michigan in a new year's day bowl game and finished the season w/ 9 wins, and you can't recruit any better than this??
I like Mullen as a coach, but it looks like the kids aren't too fond of his ego. If ya'll can't recruit any better than this after one of your best seasons ever, there's no hope for ya'll.

We're right on pace from our previous recruiting seasons, if not slightly better. It will take more than 1 winning season, to build it buddy.

well, we cant compare our players on defense- there is no doubt who has the better players.
And our offense finished ranked higher than yours-
and we return 9 starters and 16 of 22 on the 2-deep.
I'll take our talent over your every day of the week

We just went 9-4- what the frick do you mean- no hope? It's not like State or Mississippi is going to win a NC. We are competing to make a NYD bowl and maybe win 10 games from time to time.
Our recruiting classes are improving over what we were bringing in 4 years ago.
No hope does not compute.

How can you be slightly better? You have one four star and he's maybe the 4th best WR in the state.
