If the season plays out like it should and no chaos ensues, the committee should not include Alabama in the playoff: the playoff committee and the college football-consuming public has to end the dumb precedent that neither results on the field nor weak OOC scheduling matter for inclusion in the playoff as long as your coach is Saban and your school's a national football brand. TWICE this decade, Alabama lost games in the REGULAR SEASON to ACTUALLY GOOD OPPONENTS that decided their division and still advanced to the title game/playoff ANYWAY bc it's Saban and Alabama. In an iteration of a sport where the regular season inarguably means more than any other sport, they shouldn't get a second bite at the apple if they don't TCB in the big regular season games with big implications, period, point-blank.
