Ok Charlie, thanks for posting T+1 gameday.

Other than that, nothing more to see here. And frankly, not much of a game to be thinking about.

It's not even in College Station this time. Just a DKR holiday party with Aggie stepping in as voluntary roadkill.

We got work to do before we start thinking about the party games.

Austin was great in the ‘80s, when I lived there. Big parking lot now, which is a hassle to drive in when I visit now. Feel free to call me “Old School”…

CDC was pushing for it on Thanksgiving last year. I guess he changed his mind.

Does anyone prefer the game to be on Turkey Day?

That day is reserved for the important rivalries.

How are others supposed to know that if you don’t complete your poster biography? Don’t be a pussy after big talking, Vern.

I grew up with the Texas vs. aggy game on Thanksgiving. I was fortunate enough to live in a small TX town with extended relatives, including aggy cousins. Watching that game on TV after a Thanksgiving meal was certainly fun!

I can see though that game on Thanksgiving being difficult for players, staff, and fans who were attending the game in person. I’m OK with this game being on Friday or Saturday now…

Have not read the details on CDC’s game date decision. The timing I am sure was not fully in his control.

Totally agree

Many reasons to play on Friday or Saturday.

I prefer Saturday myself.

Let’s everyone recover from Turkey day.
Best for students.
Better for both football teams with regards to normal week routine, recruiting, etc.
TV exposure. Turkey day evening belongs to the NFL now. Back when we played our game owned the evening. That’s no longer the case.
Fan experience. Both schools tailgate more than 25 years ago.

I wish it would go back to Thursday. We would have a huge Turkey Day tailgate with family and friends from both sides. Always a great time. Plus it would give us the rest of the weekend to deer hunt. Me and most of my family were pissed when they moved it to Friday or Saturday. I was even more pissed when UTrans through a tantrum and decided they did not want to play anymore when we left for the SEC.

A&M & UTrans Never Ever

This is bad. Watch at your own risk. It does contain one of those UTrans hotties that monsusta is always talking about

Actually most of us live in Houston (more Texas alums here than any city in the world) and Dallas.

I liked the Thanksgiving tradition but it definitely pissed my mom off when I said I was going to the game rather than coming home. So usually it involved eating at Denny’s or wherever w friends and then me busting my arse to get home after the game Thursday night so we could do family stuff on Friday. Was dating an Aggie another year which added another layer.

Anyway I like Friday night. Can keep family traditions, and not sick of leftovers yet so I get the best of both worlds.

Was there mid 80s to mid 90s and it was cool, laid back, a ton of fun. Place is a liberal $hithole now, too many Californians moving in who drive up prices on everything, and traffic nightmares worse than Houston. You couldn’t pay me to live there.

Queers and Steers showdown is what they should call it.
