Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill took aim at SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey following Thursday’s historic college eligibility hearing in Baton Rouge.

Murrill was particularly critical of Sankey’s testimony that he had not seen the NCAA rule at the center of the ongoing eligibility battle until Thursday.

“I think there were a lot of things today that he said that were rather offensive,” Murrill said. “Starting with the fact that he said that he had never seen the rule today that we were discussing until today.

“These lawsuits have been filed all over the country. It seems very disingenuous to me for the commissioner of the SEC to act like he has never seen this rule until today, or the entire NCAA manual that's in effect right now until today.

“If that's true, then I really wonder why he's making $4.8 million a year and has a private jet.”

“I don’t like you” isn’t a reason to sue and doesn’t stand up to legal scrutiny.

Sankey is finding that out in real time.

Yes, we know. This board is full of emotional women who let their feels cloud their logic. At least you admit it, Susan.

You just said the quiet part out loud. This has nothing to do with player safety, fairness, or any of the other bullshite Sankey or the others on their high horses claim.

FIFY

If either the NCAA would fix the wrong and apply 5 for 5 to 2022, or if the SEC were more competent to define its rules clearly and then also apply them fairly, this issue would be gone like food on a buffet in the wake of Elko.

Heartening to see so many LSU fans agree that nobody likes them.
