BP was giving her a test ride to make sure she had the goods to bring in the recruits.

Its closer to 100k after incentives.
I firmly believe BP will still be the head coach next fall.
I think Long will give him a pay cut for two years and do the same for the young lady. The determining factor in this decision for Long is if Jessica lawyers up right now.
Also, if the athletic dept did not leave a state job position open for 3 days prior to giving the job to Dorell, then we have an entire other can of worms.
Petrino has a lot of money on his side. There are a lot of boosters who give money right now in spite of hating Jeff Long. Boosters can pull contributions to the renovations that are currently ongoing at any time. This puts Long and the university in a much tougher situation.

if there is proof or an admission of an affair, this will not happen or Arky will be paying several million in lawsuits

Either way, right now the university is open for lawsuits no matter what happens.
If she keeps her job and Petrino is fired, lawsuit. If he keeps his and she loses hers, lawsuit. If he gets punishment and she doesn't, lawsuit.
Both are state funded positions. It could get ugly either way.

Long knows this very well too. That's why I think he was so pissed yesterday, not because Bobby was slaying a 20 something but because he knows he has little in the form if political capital with many boosters after the Pelphrey fiasco. The little he has is Petrino. Honestly I think if the bottom line after legal fees, time taken for handling of the media coverage, booster support, projected ticket sales, etc. is positive Petrino stays, if not he goes.
Morals are arbitrary and to quote Heath's Joker "a bad joke". The world runs on progress and cash flow.
