Fun Fact: Ole Miss never finished AP Poll #1 which was the only official poll at the time. They finished 3rd 2x and 2nd 1x, and claimed Nati's in years in which another team finished AP Poll #1. As I see it, from 1937 to 1998, you can only claim a Nati if you finished #1 in the AP Poll. After that, it's whoever won the BCS or CFP Nati.
