i saw the ballot - why didn't everyone check the circle that says "i don't like this choice" on everyone of them. these people who made the selections are idiots! that stupid landshark looks like the ocean's version of barney! but then, again, you're not really an ole miss fan so you enjoyed screwing them!

Here's the problem Ole Miss.
By going out and getting a new mascot for the sidelines, it won't really achieve anything except give the children at games some goofy plush-person to have their pictures taken with.
When people not from Ole Miss see a bear, or a shark, they will for one second think: "What does a bear have to do with Ole Miss or Rebels?"
Then, they will think: "Oh, their old mascot was racist so they had to change it." Its an admission of guilt, when the mascot before MAY have offended some, the new one will be a symbol of guilt of the racist past.
I think you guys should either keep the Rebel or not have an on field mascot at all.
Its all absurd.

I thought Ole Miss should change your mascot to a modern southern gentleman and southern belle in Grove attire. Men's teams could be the Gents and ladies teams the Belles.
