I disagree. The SEC proved they were the best conference in CBB. Record number in the field of 68, 32, 16 and elite 8. Got 2 in the Final 4. It does not matter what happens on Monday. The real shame was that UF/Auburn had to play each other. How do you not put both #1s from the same conference in 2 different brackets. The NCAA didn’t want an all SEC final. They did the same shite in the women’s tourney.
Most of the flex about SEC has to do with destroying the ACC in the head to head, and then teams only play conference games the rest of the season. An ACC team is going to beat them in the final

Houston is about to make this a game.

In the 2025 NCAA tournament, the SEC (Southeastern Conference) established itself as the dominant conference, sending a record-breaking 14 teams to the tournament and boasting a strong 58-19 record against other power conferences.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
NCAA Tournament Dominance: The SEC sent a record-breaking 14 of its 16 teams to the NCAA Tournament, surpassing the previous record of 11 teams by the Big East in 2011.
Strong Record Against Other Conferences: The SEC teams had a 58-19 record against the other four power conferences (ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, and Big East) before conference play began.
High Number of Top Seeds: Six of the 14 SEC teams earned top four seeds in the tournament, with Auburn and Florida earning No. 1 seeds and Tennessee and Alabama earning No. 2 seeds.
Winning Percentage: SEC teams won 89% of their non-conference games.
Sweet 16: The SEC tied the record for most Sweet 16 teams from a single conference.
Record payout: The SEC is expected to rake in a record $70 million payout from the NCAA Tournament.
ESPN's Jay Bilas: ESPN's Jay Bilas called the SEC "the most powerful basketball league, top to bottom, that there has ever been".

Uhhhh, the SEC played every conference, especially the power 4. Not just the ACC.

Houston has to get a stop here…

Duke always gets twice as many Free Throws while taking less shots, remarkable.

So Alabama wasn't efficient enough in the halfcourt to expose this but Duke is starting to get tired from defending these clock draining possessions with low turnovers from Houston.
I bet Florida could really exploit this if they can get out and run on them with high success rate. Especially considering the depth Florida has across the board.
However, Duke's length and athleticism is going to be a lot for Clayton to contend with in his heroball moments.

What a dumb arse move by Houston. Touched the ball on the inbound. Technical foul. That’s so stupid.

Man what a boneheaded decision

Duke has as much depth as Florida.

Why they looking gassed out there for the last 8 minutes of game action?

3 point game but time is running out. Do you let Duke run offense with only 33 seconds left and a 30 second shot clock? You have to foul here, if you can’t get a steal.

How did 2 seconds come off the clock there?
Posted on 4/5/25 at 10:43 pm to GatorNation4Lyfe
Dangerous inbound pass there.
