The extra bye week this year killed this season’s excitement.

Not one weekend this year was one of those that you thought “damn there are some badass games this weekend”. It spread the games out too much.
I don’t know if it’s just the extra bye week, Alabama fatigue or the 4 team playoff, but college football has become a snooze fest.
I think they either got to go back to no playoff or expand this thing out some. Playoff basically makes any season with 2 losses seem like a colossal fail.

Been a lot of dud weekends.
I think the real problem is that teams 15-25 are all pretty interchangeable with teams 26-40. Lots of mediocrity. On top of that, the top 5 or 6 is much better than everyone else.

I hope it ramps up the last few weeks and I’m sure it will...But everything thus far just seems like a dud.

To be fair the ACC is not a P5 conference, PAC not much better, and B10 slightly better than that..
Theres quite a few duds in the SEC as well.

Yea if LSU wasn’t a story with Ed O, snoozer for sure.

I try not to take the “Alabama fatigue” rhetoric personal because putting myself in other fan bases shoes I get it I do. But yoy people think you have Bama fatigue? Wait until Clemson is in the playoffs the next ten years in a row. Are y’all going to complain about them too?

Don't forget the pussification of the game. "Kickoff" is now just a word used to signify the start of a game or the season.

Just a real lack of exciting players in all honesty. Other than Burrow who do you have who has been full of excitement to watch. Tua for a minute yes Fields ehh ok. Just need more players to step it up. But yes the games have been average for the most part. 2007 was the most up and down fun year I will ever remember as far as a season of games.

Imagine being a Clemson fan this year especially. If every game isn’t a blowout, it’s a colossal failure. That’s the worst possible scenario other than a team that literally can’t win. Zero exciting games until the semi final that are games.

One it goes to 8 it will hold more excitement through the end of the year.
