I think the context missing from his quote is: production vs what the player wants to be paid. This is the case all over the SEC right now with portal players leaving. They want the same or more money but the production doesn't justify it. Even players that the schools would love to have return and fans are upset that they are leaving.

Theres only 4 players defensively id be upset with if they left.
Pierre, Brown, Lee, and Hubbard.
Outside of that no one has produced beyond being replaceable.
Offensively we already have a better RB coming in than we've had in 3 years. We are loaded at WR, and we have 2 great QBs depending on who starts doesnt really matter.
