I think it was a good move allowing Pig to score quickly, but then they choked on moving the ball and scoring themselves.

Props to the hog D though, it wasn't all Tenner shooting themselves in the foot.

Could have gotten a first inside the 1. If he takes a knee at the goal line, they would have been able to burn clock and kick a fg as time expired. Tennessee only had 2 timeouts and the clock would have been running after spot following the first. Probably should have taken a timeout before the play that resulted in the td to make the players aware

I don’t know about that one by Heupel.

I mean anything could have happened with those horrible center QB shotgun snaps that were occurring.

Plus you had a backup QB and RB in the game for Arkansas.

I hope for a FG and then try to win it on a FG

It was the right move to let them score, they went down the field themselves and had a chance to win it.

If they didn't let them score the clock would be drained with an almost guaranteed field goal for the win.

It's a 20 yard fg which would have been perfectly centered on the subsequent downs. Tennessee almost scored on that final drive, hell the pass to Thorton would have gone to the house if Nico leads him a bit more. The success rate on an extra point is like 95%. I don't care if all of my kickers legs have fallen off, there's someone on that team more likely to make that kick than the defense is to stop Tennessee on average

The bigger problem for UT was not that decision. It was Heupel's ultraconservative play calling and decision making throughout the game. He basically signaled to NIco he didn't trust him very much to throw downfield. It was bubble screen and quick out city all night. But the OLine wasn't very sound in pass blocking, and perhaps that was the reason for his approach.
