Bro, he knows that. He just had to figure out a way to make it about Bama because seeing positive threads about other teams literally pains him.
Guilty, I did kinda derail the thread. Sorry about that.
That is actually some great consistency LSU has.
When did the regular season switch to 12 games? That might have had an effect on the later years in that sample.

Ohh I am sure he knows that, I just wanted to remind him of it and add more context to the old narrative that I mentioned above, the Saban momentum residual that is somewhat of a perpetuity I guess in the view of some posters here.

Nah, I'm impressed with LSU's consistency to be honest. Didn't expect it at all.

We have a great chance to win our third national championship in as many coaches. If some people don't see the program consistency in that, they probably just don't understand the concept.

biclops:
LSU is playing the same maximum schedule as everyone else. From my memory, 2000, 2001, 2004, 2005 were all 11 game seasons. Starting in 2006, 12 game seasons were the norm. LSU also lost 2 OOC games, Mcneese State in 2015 and the 2016 UAB game that was cancelled to get the Florida game played. We lost 2 OOC games where we were favored heavily.

That's pretty remarkable for sure. I was just thinking about that the other day.

So 2000-2009 had a few less games after considering all that, but not as much difference as I was expecting.
Very impressive consistency.

Well LSU needs to finish. Assuming they do, and that is going to be a hard task, the last program that did that (maybe only one) is Miami. Howard Schnellenberger (1979-1983) won 1, Jimmy Johnson (1984-1988) won 1, and Dennis Erickson (1989-1994 won 2 and had Butch Davis not jumped to the NFL (1995-2000), the 2001 NC won by Larry Coker would have made it officially 4 different coaches in a row (in reality, the 2001 team was Butch Davis recruited and developed)

Kudos to you, well done. And for the record, Alabama's 2008 to 2019 record of winning at least 10 games every year is a damn impressive resume over that time span and shows an incredible level of consistent high level play for a long time span.

Gumps have 79 from 2000-2009 and 123 from 2010 until now.
202 total.
202 total.

Great, that is that I thought. Thanks for the confirmation.

Edit: Just looked it up, the vacated victories are counted in the 79 (meaning you credited us with wins even though the games were vacated). That's kinda rough man. 1997-2006 were some rough years in particular.

Come on man, everyone knows that Coach Orgeron is winning with Saban's players, just like Miles did.
