Makes sense. UCLA has a tough lineup

they used a ton of pitchers and we left them broken.

I don’t think they had a single pitcher throw more than 20-25 pitches

Well, we'd lose a day of rest between the semis and the title series if that happened, so not sure that's the best tradeoff

They were all pretty mediocre

Arkansas had trouble scoring against worse than mediocre pitching yesterday

A lot of left-handed hitters too.

Not sure how I feel about this one.

Think I'd rather have Root and Geico for LSU.

Guess this gives Root a chance to pitch Sunday/Monday though if we're miraculously able to get out of the loser's bracket.

Geico's rates are expensive.

This is how I feel as well. We’re gonna have to win some games without Root/Wood on the mound at some point. Thought tonight was as good a time as any to try.

He's likely not going to make it past 4 innings. Bring in Jimenez and let him finish up.

These CWS announcers are terrible. The one for the Louisville/OSU game keeps saying "Cutts is leaving men in scoring position". Cutts is Louisville's pitcher. Does he not know how to articulate that the pitcher is getting out of some jams like everyone has through the history of baseball?

Louisville is a trashy group, but it always nice to see the child molestor Oregon State program losing.

Dude that was that one player who is long gone. That is like saying the LSU football program likes breaking into houses to watch women sleep.

Louisville up two in the 7th, having to go to a freshman reliever with some pretty shitty numbers on the year
