They lost to two SEC teams in the last 3 weeks that are in the CFP. They have no rights to a spot in the hunt for a championship

I’m comparing us to third place ACC Miami and Notre dame who played 2 good teams and lost both and played an average team and won. Not even close to a three point win in Athens. I’m not comparing us to the top teams. 8-12 are always gonna be flawed and underserving technically

They shouldn’t be left out because then you screw any desire to get to the conference championship. They would be punished for making it to the SECCG.

How do you let A&M and OM in but eliminate the 2nd best team in the SEC because they lost to the best team in the SEC.

Please stop with the homerisms! Alabama barely beat a 5-7 Auburn team could not dominate a rutterless 7-5 LSU. Today they got skull drug all over Mercedes-Benz stadium rushing for -3 yards. If they get in the whole CFP system is garbage!

jamal- you lost to unranked Florida State by 14 points and have 3 losses..... Notre Dame lost to two playoff teams by a combined 4 points.

Georgia beat Auburn by 10.

Oklahoma beat them by 7

Texas A&M beat them by 6

Missouri beat them by 6

Vandy beat them by 7

Alabama beat them by 7

This is why SoS matters. Auburn played a bunch of tough teams and barely lost games. They were not a shitty team.

I don't know if they get in and whether they deserve to be in is debatable obviously.

I care mostly that the playoff includes every team with some sort of semi reasonable claim to be the best team in the country. And I don't think Alabama qualified themselves.

The Miami, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Alabama, Texas, and Vanderbilt group are all respectable teams that had decent seasons this year. But all of them let themselves down more than were robbed if they get left out.

Alabama and Georgia have 1-1 records against each other this year.

Neither Bama nor Texas has a convincing argument. Both have three losses, including a terrible loss and a blowout loss.

Neither should be in

What's the objective ranking of the SEC teams?

I see Georgia as the #1 but the case for an objective #2 is pretty shaky when none the the three played each other.

The game was worth playing for Georgia for sure. They avenged the loss, showed improvement, gained the #2 seed, and claimed a legit stake as contender for the best team in the country.

3 losses. They don’t deserve it. No other case needs to be made. If it were any team not named bama this point be a conversation.

Zero credit given to teams nationally for beating bottom of the barrel teams like auburn and lsu

Apparently they only look at losses and there’s zero credit for strength of schedule especially in the non-conference

Hopefully Bama gets left out so there’s another school allied with the only solution: fire Sankey, destroy CFP, decouple from Disney and start a new playoff system
