We no longer care about football. Basketball and baseball are all they will support. They have been trying for decades to kill it and they finally did.

We are Memphis with less talent.

Works for me, I much prefer NFL to college for football (even moreso in this new era) and love me some NCAABB and March Madness. Give me final four teams and Omaha teams in those two every/most years and I'm content as can be.

Basketball practice starts Oct. 2nd FYI!

Thats the crazy part. We have "preparing for months"

Memphis was excited we got him. Let that sink in.

Yep. Told everyone this. They just buried their heads in the sand and cheered about what a great hire it was. It was exactly like the Morris hire on paper

seems like cope. But yes, most of us would prefer watching sweet 16 appearances to 2 win seasons if that’s the choices

No cope, I haven't had interest in Arkansas football for many years now. Really don't care, spend the money where we can win a natty.

That’s not what you said last week. Last week we were all idiots for jumping up and down about how poorly we played against a former d2 school that used to be in the gulf south conference 15 years ago, and this was the week to decide whether to be pissed or not. Now it’s you don’t care? Seems like cope. Also

I’m not melting. I was melting last week, I knew what was coming this week, and what is coming next week, and the week after when we play Tulsa.

I think most everyone did, they were 2 TD underdogs. That's why I was urging everyone to bet that if you gamble, completely free money. I still think they will beat Tulsa and maybe Vanderbilt for a 3 win season.

Oklahoma St. completely revamped their roster like us and beat Oregon.

Here are teams currently in the top 25. All traditional powerhouses.

13 Texas Tech
15 BYU
17 SMU
20 Utah
22 Houston
23 Missouri
24 Louisville
25 Virginia

They also lost to 1 win Tulsa on the road and their coach brought with him the #2 QB in the portal while we have Jackson and Hill. Just makes losing to that god awful Tulsa team look even worse.

And idk what that list is for? It's the week 1 top 25, maybe 2 of those teams even make the playoffs? Utah being one of them but no one wants to say that part out loud. None have any shot at winning the natty which is what I said so...

So they made improvements like good coaching does.

You can't win if you don't get there. Also you need to establish some sort of winning culture to raise more money.

Take the L bro

Or they played at home against a so so team.

But the fans don't want to give any money? Or the boosters? Where is this winning culture coming from in the NIL era with no money? Are you really this clueless?

If we had went after Morris early on like we could have we could’ve easily had him and mestemaker. Now I don’t think he was the best available coach last cycle but he’s better than silverfield if nothing else because he was a package deal with mestemaker
