oh yeah, the roofer and the Waffle House Manager that were supposed to be offering $180k.

Look, I have no idea what Auburn did or didn't do. Don't care. But I can assure you that MSU was never interested in paying for Cam Newton.

Auburn fans hang their hats on the NCAA investigation of Cam, and rightly so. That same NCAA cleared MSU as well.

I contribute way too much $ to that too

At the time though, Bond wasn't even a WH Mgr. He was back on campus trying to get a GA position. Painting houses and mowing grass for money.

at making a sensible suggestion regarding higher education in Mississippi.

of course they should. Just like MS shouldn't have 82 separate counties and 125 separate school districts. All of which have their own little kingdoms and bureaucracies.

Sensible consolidation could improve our state drastically. Will never happen.

Yeah, right...replace Florida with whom? Florida should be listed right with Auburn, Alabama, and Ole Miss as the dirtiest of them all!

You forgot UGA, you know a school that leads the SEC in NCAA Major infractions

They would've been champs in 77 had they not been bowl banned (just like us in 85 and 90).

Yeh, when Vandy is the only school with less major infractions, you are pretty damn clean

It helps being the only major program in your state.

List is bogus.

The NCAA hasn't listed infractions as Major or Minor in years.

The Ole Miss case of a few years ago would have put them solidly in first place, with 15 Level 1 charges in that case alone.

A guy I know played at GaTech, but was heavily recruited by bowden(around '80) His pitch was, "we got a lot of guys who can run and jump, but cant add 2+2. You can do all of that and you dont even want any money to go to school, we want you at FSU"
