In Scott's best season, he averaged 48 yards per punt. Mann averaged 51+ yards per punt.

Congrats on giving him nothing but long fields to punt with.

Except that is hilariously false. Look at the numbers. We had a good offense, putting up lots of yards, but doing poorly once we crossed midfield. He punted into a short field a LOT. He put up a large average by making the most of the occasions when he did have a long field. He had more 60+ yard punts than anyone in the history of college football.

That's not always a good thing.

Huh? It's not good to punt the ball a long way? What the hell?

We should have had the Mackey award too, but Sternberger was screwed out of that one a long time ago.

I'm not debating the issue of who is better, I'm just going to note, for the record, that distance isn't the only important aspect of a punt. Sometimes it can even be a hindrance to a good punt.

Size doesn't matter, huh?

Since I didn't say any such thing, I'm going to note that literacy does matter.

Size matters. Putting it in the right place also matters. I'd think a TAMU fan would understand that part intimately.

The lamest poster at his position in SECrant reaffirms his status as the biggest goon with a keyboard.
