i don't understand why we need more schools. so what if the big 12 and big 10 get 20 schools each.

the SEC will still be the best with the 14 schools that we have. we do not need to add inferior programs (football) to prove anything.

UNC and Duke will obviously draw basketball fans, but still... i don't like the idea of a "super conference" for the SEC

I think one day in the future...4 twenty team super conferences. Nine game schedule within division. Division champs play. Conference champs in 4 team playoff.
12 game schedule, the 3 non division games can be any team from other 3 SC or against other division within your SC...but any cross division game does not count toward divisional championship. (That way, if a traditional rival is in a seperate division...schedule if u want...but if u end up playing a 2nd time in conference championship....no complaining.)

UVA will announce next week they are leaving ACC to big ten

SEC in discussions with UNC but must take Duke too
SEC also in discussions with Virginia Tech and NC state if the UNC thing doesn't work out

I'd rather UVa than NC State.

As soon as the network is launched, you get a lot more money for the subscribers in states that have a school located within their borders. When we were talking about moving, this was the big motivation (also why Missouri is here).

The goal is going to be to get a school in as many states as possible so you can maximize your network profits.

It's also why NCState and VT make more sense than UNC/Duke if they're attached at the hip.

Bye bye ACC, nobody will miss you.

Virgina and Georgia Tech to the Big 10

Virgina Tech and NC St. to the SEC

FSU, Miami, Clemson, NC, Duke and Louisville to the Big 12.

Boston College, Wake Forest, Pitt and Syracuse to the Big East.

If true I only hope that either we kick out Mississippi state or Missouri defects to the Big 10 or back to the Big 12 so that the SEC can try and get Virginia Tech so we have @ least 1 school in all of the states from the confederacy. (+ Kentucky)

am sure that Mark Womack will ensure that Alabama plays duke or nc state while LSU will play NC state or VA Tech.

On the flip side, I'm sure the Duke basketball program is salivating at the thought of adding Alabama and LSU every year.

Everything will be okay, as long as there is still the SEC!

I don't mind NC State or UVA. I like that much more than any plan that includes VT. They are a poor fan base. By this point most VT fans have moved on to being Duke or UNC fans
