I do not believe that the replay equipment worked throughout the entire game.

I thought it was a catch too. He held onto the ball with one hand until he hit the ground. Since we won, I won't bitch about it too much, but LSU fans take note, missed calls go both ways.

What happened to the replay booth? Did Les Miles plug all their shite into one outlet or something?

Cannot disagree. In fact, it's malfunctioned in several different stadiums all year (just ask MSU).

There were several plays, both for bama and lsu, that were not looked at.

if that's a catch then peteron's was a definite pick

they both were. Smelley caught that in bounds and dropped it after hitting the ground. we all know that was a pick, but I will say to the Op considering Maze caught the next pass for a first down the drive did continue and we were moving the ball until Ingram let the snap bounce off of his helmet and that killed the drive not the missed call.

sshhhhhhh! The LSU fans aren't going to remember that. They're too distraught about their own missed calls.

Your quarterback inexplicably tried to avoid contact with the defender by backpedaling before being hit. The spot was correct.

Not a chance the spot was correct. Smelley dropped the ball too, not a catch.

If the ball hadn't come out when he hit the ground, yeah it would have been a catch.

Thanks for the link. Proves my point that he chickened out on the hit, thus losing valuable field position (and a possible first down).

This one was Jefferson's fault, not the refs.

And, YES, it was a catch... go back and watch. As for whether it was relevant, it would have moved us 15 yards further downfield, and the plays that followed may have put us into field goal range.

It is equally as speculative as LSU fans thinking that had a snowball's chance of scoring in the fourth quarter.

I am not arguing because the ball came out when he hit the ground but I thought the ground couldnt cause a fumble? Just asking I don tknow?

Yes, that is speculative and I don't think we would've done it. HOWEVER, what is not speculative is the refs blew the INT call.

It can't cause a fumble, that's right. But it can cause an incompletion. Happened to the Saints yesterday

His forward progress was stopped by the defender, he got the necessary yardage and then pulled up. That's not uncommon. Is a QB supposed to try and truck a freaking DB? Jefferson isn't Tebow.

So you think Jefferson stopped his forward progress on his own, and dove backwards to avoid the hit? Is that your claim? (It's the only way you could be correct)

Just heard Finebaum say the excuse now (Monday from the SEC officials) is that Julio touched the ball while out of bounds and therefore the reception was OOB.

Would be legit.. but there's no way Julio could have touched the ball first.

The rule is different in the NFL.
