Best season: 2013. This was the peak of a 33-6 run under Steve Spurrier that culminated with an 11-2 season, a victory against Wisconsin in the Capital One Bowl and the program’s highest final ranking in the AP poll at No. 4.
Worst season: 1999. An 0-11 finish under first-year coach Lou Holtz, part of a 21-game losing streak for the Gamecocks, went down as one of the worst seasons in SEC history but paved the way for a turnaround.
Verdict: Since 1936, South Carolina has had 46 seasons with a winning percentage between .400 and .600, the most of any FBS program. Without that three-year run under Spurrier, South Carolina would be a .500 program throughout its history. Spurrier’s run is even more impressive in the context of South Carolina’s extreme averageness.

Best season: 2014. Quarterback Dak Prescott led Mississippi State to the first No. 1 ranking in school history en route to a 10-3 finish. This team started 9-0 but lost on the road to Alabama and Ole Miss, then fell to Georgia Tech in the Orange Bowl.
Worst season: 1988. The Bulldogs lost 10 games in a row, including losses to Memphis and Southern Miss, after beating Louisiana Tech in their opener.
Verdict: Mississippi State has been playing in the SEC since 1933. The Bulldogs have one SEC championship from 1941 and own a .354 winning percentage in conference games and rarely ascend past the eight- or nine-win plateau, but they’ve also played in a bowl game in 14 of the past 16 seasons.”

Our Super Bowls are the 5 national championship games we’ve played in along with multiple heisman trophy ceremonies - not week 3 games in a week to week league. Ole Miss is irrelevant. And I’m glad you’re living rent free because you can’t afford anything else.
